I fully expect MS to tone down Gold offerings in favor of pushing gamepass.

That is not the case with the Xbox. I still remember seeing so many Xbox consoles everywhere I went and barely any for playstation.
This isn't like in the beginning of the generation where it actually mattered to know if it's shipped or sold since gamers wanted to know how many people actually bought the console.
At this point its quite obvious that they sold more than 100 million units and that their shipped is likely because of demand and will be getting sold to consumers rather quickly.

It's weird that Phil has said before that they see other companies as their competitors instead of Sony. We are talking about the console market so that don't make much sense unless they're not invested in consoles. They might be treating it like more of a PC investment.

Most already have the motherboards, hard drives, and ram. Their cpu is probably an Intel !5 or higher and all they need to update is their graphics card. But if they have a 1070 or higher then they're all set as well. It's not like Xbox exclusives push graphical fidelity much.
They may not be able to run their games at 60fps/4K BUT 1080p is just fine consid...
Im all for more single player games. But you also can't force it or you get something like quantum break or recite, which I enjoyed but were severely lacking in many areas.
The teams should create what they want.
I was stunned to see the level of mtx they are going to inject into the next halo. If it's all earnable in-game then leave it at that. No need for MTX to exist.

Aragami is a mediocre game at best. Not horrible but not very good either.
Contrast that with ps plus offerings and you got a good game and a great game.
