Xbox was not transparent.
If I had missed their last showcase I would have missed vital new information and would have been led to believe that I would be able to play all future xbox games on an xbox one x.
But i do agree that playstation could have been more transparent had cross gen games never been a thing before.

When there is high demand for something you can't do anything about it. It will always be a mess. Nobody else here or anywhere could do it better.
The only thing I can think of is a verification process. In other words you get a link from the store to a page where you can buy it. Beforehand there could be a verification process to make sure you're real and havent already purchased one. But that would have other huge issues.
It's a crappy thing to do.
ITs not like they are new indie devs or something.
All the studios are very well established and good at what they do.
They just bought a bunch of talent because they can.
As much as xbox was a let down this gen and how much I dislike the buying of well established developers, xbox does own a good number of quality devs now.
Happens every generation. Very click with news sites. Even some youtubers act like they didn't expect this....happens every time.
I wouldn't use the word victory....they gave a bunch of money. Nothing victorious about that.
It's an advantage. But we'll see how bethesda does with their next titles. They may not see exclusives until halfway through the gen.

Well I wouldn't call them dumb. They simply don't care ...as for costing more that's not necessarily the case. It depends on the child. I highly doubt those parents would buy their child and external hard drive or additional storage at that price. If presented with the situation and facts they would do the math.
The real cost is in the digital only situation. Especially on the xbox store which barely runs any discounts.

I could see it maybe if you play every genre...then you would need a sports, racer, fighting, simulation, and couple of others .
I only play 1 game at a time. Usually have 2-3 games installed at a time in the case of couch co op situation..
With that storage size the S is perfectly suited for someone like me and not someone that likes to have many gam...

I somewhat agree in the sense that I wouldn't mind the current gen continuing. Games have been getting better and better...especially in the indie department.
The xbox series S however only proves how incapable xbox is in staying true to next gen capabilities.

Though it could be possible with some deception tactics that casuals could go for the cheap xbox thinking theyll get the same performance as other consoles but only digital. Wouldnt put it above microsoft to do that.
Their ads could show how great games look and at the end show xbox series s instead of the x. All they need to do is add small print during the gameplay reel saying it was captured on the x. Very deceptive but totally expe...

You should go watch the first show they had...cant recall the exact date. Maybe it was early this year or in december.
In August i beleive which was their latest one they mentioned only 2 years. Im not good with the actual timestamps. No reason to make it up. I was actually quite excited that I would be able to buy an xbox one x and play all future titles...which I should be able to considering it is just as powerful if not more than the xbox series s....
