Its lagging really badly as of the last patch.
@bozebo
COD 1 was never released on console, the franchise originated on PC.
The Last 2 cods do not have MOD support, MW2 didnt have dedicated servers because Activision wanted to give PC gamers and Console gamers the same experience essentially dumping the PC version of the game.
The DLC fiasco started with MW2 it became a success because console gamers bought it in hordes which had a spill over effect to the PC version as well. I do n...
COD started of on PC. From what i am aware the first COD on console was COD 3.
Not only did the game end up getting dumbed down once it went console, the single player experience went down to 4-5hours in return the cost of game went upto 60.
Later they started putting out DLC after DLC(that was after they took away modding support for the game so no one could make custom maps).
COD going consoles was a loss loss situation for the game b...
Completely agree, however its the greedy developers / publishers who are willing to dumb down games just for the extra $$.
Lol Kotick really has been on a killing spree. I think COD is pretty much all they have left, aside whatever blizzard releases.
Personally i think COD following has peaked and should drop since new releases dont really brind anything new aside new maps. People are starting to tire out of the same stuff. Expect a drop with the next release.
While uncharted is good, asides the cutscenes its just your regular corridor shooter, nothing much innovative about it.
Also people keep naming this game again and again as if its what they play all year long forgetting its just a 8 hour game released every alternate year. Aside this exclusive i personally dont like any other exclusive on the PS3.
Funny we dont see "console gaming is dieing" articles, specially when its the consoles which are going down in sales year on year.
PC is actually seeing a growth and if compared to any single console, it will win by a large margin.
Lol you do realise console game sales have been down as of late. compare the years you will see a year on year decline.
PC sales have been up. While this PR maybe bullshit, PC sales are infact doing very well.
While you may not be able to compare PC to all consoles combined, it will stack up very well against any single console and beat it by a large margin.
Steam alone is estimated around 1billion usd sales for 2010, thats about 50% sa...
They pretty much lost it to their previous game(from 4 years back). Unless the final release can change that. However from the feel of it the final release will not be featuring large open worlds it will be very linear game play just like the typical console shooters.
7.5usd for this game is a steal.
@Meanoldman
Are you retarded? do u actually expect people to remember if you and someone else on this forum out of the thousands actually has a fat PS3.
Even if you do its going to die at some point, I have 3 friends who have had their fat PS3's Die over the last 10-12months. All of them were launch models. Hardware inevitabally dies. Good luck with the BC when you replace with a slim model.
@Morganfell
How many PS2 games can you play on the PS3 slim? thats right none.
There might be that odd old game that you cant play on the PC however, as off now there are even emulators to play old dos titles. Hence PC is the platform with ultimate BC, no 2 opinions there.
"particularly Killzone 3,which has to be seen to be believed."
Lol most multiplat shooters on PC look better then Killzone 3 and yea i dont mean the monster PC featuring a GTX 580 in SLI any 3-4yr old gaming GPU will do.
The real reason why we arent seeing any innovation is because freedom from the gamers has been taken away.
You still do see innovation however this is in games where the modder & gamers work together to create new ways to game. This can be seen in TF2, L4D2 where the developer has given the community the MOD tools and freedom to do as they like. For example a recent game mod i am enjoying in TF2 is the baloon race. Basically involves 2 teams standing on platforms which ...
Console versions will also be running at a measily 28fps just like BC2, and they will be having a smaller number of people per battle.
Lets not forget its not just about how the game plays. On PC the crowd is more mature. Dice claimed PC gamers tend to work together alot more then any console. I personally wouldnt like to play where everyone is going Rambo(aka consoles), having people support each other is just better overall game play.

Affording a PC is much cheaper then affording a console. Console gaming is expensive.
Well in recent times games have been selling just as well on PC as they would sell on Xbox or the PS3.
Bad company 2 sold just as well on PC then on either console.
Star craft 2 sold over 4million last i checked.
Wow cata sold over 5million so far.
Left4dead 2 has sold in millions.
Civilization 5 on PC has sold over 1.5m
Hell even Indie games are selling so well:
Torchlight sold 800,000 on PC alone th...
Lol they will only end up causing their own losses, Steam alone has 30million users add in the rest of the DD network it becomes a chunky base. Its their loss.
Its funny but currently on torrent Dead Space 2 is equally pirated on console in comparison to PC. Both have simular count on people leeching. However PC gamers are still waiting for a crack, while the console crowd can play the game pirated.
If they are so worried about piracy they should first co...
Back when the PS3 and Xbox 360 were released they used midrange PC hardware, not high end. The RSX in the PS3 was about 1 gen old when the PS3 did release, it was really outmatched by the 8800gtx at that time.
Also a rig made in those days @ 800usd would totally own the PS3 even today(remember PS3 was 600usd back then) so thats not a big difference. Add in the fact every game on PS3 is more expeensive then PC counter part in the long run PC would be cheaper.
"Whether or not it comes to consoles, the only people Q-ing will be console gamers for the aforementioned reasons."
Haha epic.
