How is Cave Story a minecraft killer?
Did I miss something? We're really talking about -that- cave story, right, the metroidvania, right?
I'm confused.
I can't find Labyrinth Legends... Anyone has this problem too?
No word about the level cap being raised eh?
:(
I love Borderlands 2, but playing those DLCs with my maxed character really isn't that fun...
Who'd have thought that in the 2010s, jrpg fans would be looking up to Namco Bandai and Level 5 games instead of some other well known game company.
Well, times they are a changin', and time, it takes too long before january 22. :)
I played the demo, and while it does spoil a bit, I believe it's not much.
What it did for me was crank the hype up to the thousands. I was already hyped, now every day of waiting is torture.
I say you give it the try, you'll have that overworld music stuck in your head, and that's a good thing. :)
For me, it's this gen's Chrono Trigger, or Secret of Mana, or FF6.
I suppose I'm a bit older than you. ;)
Not even tired of the demo after multiple runs through it.
Needless to say, I'll ace those 2 sections of the game. :)
Next up, the whole game. Sooo hyped!
You can expect top-notch gameplay too, Level 5... they know what they're doing. :)
Since Sega isn't suing Nintendo (Zelda on DS), or Square-Enix (TWEWY) and almost every indy developer for smart phones and handhelds, I assume this is jealousy.
They see Level 5 becoming glorious, they get mad.
Well, Sega, what about making more good games?
Hmmmm maybe I should buy a Vita now... I'll wait and see how many games use that feature first.
Even their facebook page is full of contests and a nice little app. about familiars. Level 5 really shines as the new beacon of JRPGs.
I love them.
A browser game is a game, as far as I'm concerned...
Well, way to get all hyped up for something I'll likely never play. :/
So... Is it naive to still hope for a fifth Star Ocean? A third Valkyrie Profile (Hrist still needs to have her game, no?)? A -true- Front Mission?
Oh Square, oh Enix, what have you become?
Oh well, whatev's. Got some sweet level 5 stuff coming, eh?
Oliver isn't supposed to be a flashy "fashionable" spends-10$-a-day-for-hair-prod ucts hero à la Cloud Strife, just an ordinary boy that gets thrown into a great fairy tale adventure, with no need for superfluous belts and pockets.
People are hyping this game so much because it is made by 1: Level 5, a great game company that's well known for creating great RPGs and other games (Rogue Galaxy, Dragon Quest IX, Professor Layton to name a few);
...
Yeah it really wasn't bad, just not as good as their other games.
Having spent way beyond the 100 hours mark in DQIX and Rogue Galaxy, I can't wait to see how much time I'll spend in Ni No Kuni. (At least 5 hours from the demo alone... Just found out they included a secret mini "village" in it, with NPCs and a locked chest...)
Level 5 worked on many of my favorite games before: Dragon Quest IX, Rogue Galaxy, Dark Cloud and Professor Layton.
This can only be good, real good. Please, don't mention White Knight Chronicles. (Actually, it wan't so bad, just... charmless.)
And there's even a secret area with a locked chest and NPCs. Just found it.
What do you mean? The demo has the first forest to explore (Yes, it's a full dungeon if you don't take the route with the goal star in it after defeating the guardian, complete with chests and monsters), a decent chunk of the (amazingly pretty with incredibly pretty music) world map, and a part of the volcano dungeon.
Do you mean towns? Yeah I was bummed that the demo ends right when you enter it, but that just leaves more surprises for the full game!
But published by SE now, since Enix got eaten. :(
Sad sad day in gaming history.
Ni No Kuni, Dragon's Dogma, Tales of Graces F, Star Ocean 4, Resonance of Fate, White Knight Chronicles, the Atelier series, Disgaea, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Ar Tonelico, Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny and many others... What's dead?
