American 3, final fantasy 6.
Nothing ever came close to Celes' suicide scene in terms of dramatic power, not even Aerith's death (Okay, that came close).
6, then 9, then 7.
Cool. I wonder if they'll be the same as those included in the pre-order art-book.
Really can't wait for this game :)
Oh well, can we get some insights about the game systems in place, how will we level up, what items are permanent in the inventory, how quests are structured, etc. instead of this tiring debate concerning one sorceress' boobs. I mean come on, Final Fantasy X's Lulu did that years ago and no one cried.
Now because Vanilla Ware is easier to attack than Squenix people are going bat shit crazy with their forks and torches?
It's the game I want, not th...
Nice. Never enough Tales. :) Hope it's true.
Since Odin Sphere and GrimGrimoire were both part of my favorite games from the ps2 era, this one will likely be part of my favorites on the ps3.
Placed my pre-order already, so I can get the bonus art-book! :D I really like the art style in Vanilla Ware games, and looking at the trailers, they really did a great job on this one. The game looks fun, I just hope the leveling system is a bit more streamlined than in Odin Sphere (Having to go back to the restaurant to buy food e...
Being a fan of j-rpgs, I'm not at the right place to judge if this list will really appeal to those that are not fans, but still I'd add some.
Star Ocean Series (My pick would be SO3, but that's just me)
Mario and Luigi series on the DS.
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the seven stars (REALLY surprised this one didn't make the list. It has everything good from Mario, + some cameos from Final Fantasy for those in the know...)
Yeah I enjoyed it too. Found it a bit on the easy side, but the monster collection, the battle system, the better environments and all the little tweaks here and there made it a good mouth rinse for it's predecessor.
While I never really got into WK, I know plenty of people who had a lot of fun with it.
For me, good JRPGs this gen to name a few:
Tales of graces F, Star Ocean IV, Dragon's Dogma, Ni No Kuni, Eternal Sonata, Resonance of Fate, Disgaea 3-4, Nier...
And if I recall, while those titles didn't get super high scores all around, they didn't do too bad with critics either...
I really wonder why BoF has been put aside.
I think BoF:DQ was a superb game, even if it completely changed the mood and gameplay from previous games in the series.
That said, BoF II will always be my favorite one.
Especially true for games that are not aimed at young girls, but at hardcore gamers.
They forgot Catherine.
Yeah it was shock for shock, but one has to admit that the hot pink, the logo and the illustration were all well done, and still today it's one of the easiest box art to spot in a game store.
Yeah well they can always argue that those male characters were not meant to be sexually attractive.
Let's set the record straight. I'm gay, and burly, muscular virile men in vidja-games do tease my sexuality the same way those big boobs could do to other hetero men.
And no, that doesn't make me believe that all men should be built like beef and go shirtless at every single moment of their life, the same way hetero men won't start to think th...
No sequel, but they could (and should) include the Rapunzel arcade cabinet in Persona 5. Would raise the main character's academics or something.
Still, I'm sure they'll find a way to give some winks to Catherine in persona 5. After all, we did get a Vincent Cameo in Persona 3 for PSP, and I see no reason why Boss couldn't show his classy face in Persona 5.
I don't know. I really do want a 3ds, but the wii-u for me is just... meh. Same thing as last generation. I had a whole lot of fun with my DS, with incredible games (RPG heaven for last gen), but nothing on the wii really caught my attention, except for mario party and smash bros.
But as far as party games go, I don't feel the need to buy a brand new console for those. I don't think a bunch of drunk friends would really have more fun on an hd version of mario part...
Yeah. That.
Yeah, and they said they took inspiration from CoD and other western FPS action titles for FFXIII. See where that took them now. ;)
Dragon Quest IX had many updates, for a long time, all for free.
Okay it was not an MMO, and the DS capacity for surrounding consoles recognition sure came into handy, but no one ever had to pay anything except the retail price of the game.
Not in North America. Here's it's Hockey and Football, most people will trade CoD for NHL before FIFA, however good FIFA is.
Can't tell if you're joking or not... But, maybe you need to know the ps4 is not out yet?
That would explain why you don't know anyone who has one...
...
I sincerely hope you were joking.
Hmm that's a mix of 2 (4) and 3 (6).
The red box was final fantasy 2, with Rosa, Cecil and Kain.
The moogle (Over a purple background) was final fantasy 3, with Terra, Locke and Celes.
