About 2 hours. I found the gameplay to be revolting from the start. That's usually a good sign of things to come.
Dragon's Dogma got me hooked in the first 10 minutes.
I kind of agree. I could never get into the Souls series, it always felt like cheap games with jacked up difficulty for the sake of it.
Dragon's Dogma did it much better, in my opinion.
For real? -_-
Atlus kiiinda did in the 90s, with Persona 2. Your main character (a teenage male) could, at some point, chose to date either a man or a woman. It's more of a gay character than games like skyrim or fable, because some parts of the main character are scripted.
That would make him bisexual.
It was also a game in which Hitler came back from the dead and you would control giant phallic demons (Mara).
Atlus really has balls when it comes to t...
Your loss.
Yeah imagine that. How would you feel, eh? You'd wish for some kind of representation in media, WOULDN'T YOU?
EXACTLY. We're planning to turn all your kids gay, then force every one to parade at gay pride. That's our agenda.
I wish I could find you the official documents but... oh... It doesn't exist. Idiot.
Cia?
GOOD. Because I was totally putting a mental "Labeouf" after her name, every time. It was too much weird to bear. lol
They tried with Mad World! I loved it actually.
:)
And I like Shia's character design. I'm just surprised I haven't seen any complaint yet! ;)
No scandal about the over sexualization of Shia? In a Nintendo game? For all the family?
I mean that's not even cleavage anymore, that's SoulCalibur's Ivy material riiiiight there.
;)
I was interested in Destiny until I learned that it was going to be sold at 69,99 here in Canada. Even in digital form.
Sucks because the game looks fine, but this price is not justified. I can't stand behind that.
No, I don't think games should aspire to better movies.
Games should aspire to better games.
I can name a handful of games that are better at storytelling and emotional response, for my tastes, than a handful of movies in their respective genre.
Ni No Kuni and Child of Light for animated features.
Catherine for exploitation horror / psycho-sexual thrillers.
Mass Effect for sci-fi.
Borderlands for sci-fi comedy à la spaceship troopers.
Not every game has to be citizen kane, not every movie has to be citizen kane.
Since when is film a reference point for video games? Two different things with different purposes.
According to the page's source code, this is fully multiplatform... But that doesn't say much.
A V for Vendetta open world game? Count me in!
or.... Maybe it's a sequel to Z.H.P. ?
Valkyrie Profile 3, with helmets?
A darkly romantic comedy game for FFXIII's Vaille. YES PLEASE. 0_______0
Ot a Van Halen RTS. Want 'em both.
It depends. Some games I can play for insane amount of time, like disgaea or dragon quest ix, both with save files way past the 200 hours mark. But I quit amalur after 30.
As for child of light I thought it was too short. I would gladly have played another solid 10-15 hours of it.
So... Grinding done well can be addictive. It's not always a chore.
This has better be sky-high good. If it's just alright, I fear that some part of the fanbase will go full whine and bash mode...
Off to sleep at the end of child of light is beautiful too.
Dark Arisen on hard is hard, really really hard.
And I'll admit I only tried Dark Souls. I didn't like it, at all, so I never tried the other games in the series. But Dark Souls left such a bad taste that I don't want to try the other ones, it can't be -that- different, can it?
