Well they're not going to be able to use iD's new engine and Crytek have a deal with EA so maybe CryEngine is out of the question so maybe go with Unreal Engine 4? The current game engine is waay overdue being replaced and one of the reason's CoD is so easily hacked.

Its hard to say where pCars fits in right now with the handling of so many cars being constantly tweaked as its still so early on in development. On one hand the Lotus 49 is a joy to drive, quite a handful though and yet the Lotus 98T feels a little too stable for a car of that era and X4 Touring Car seems almost impossible to lose the back end. Like I said though its early days yet and I've not driven those cars in real life so its just one sim racers opinion. All I can say is that havin...

Its supposed to get to them someday but its not going to look anywhere near as good as the PC version I'm playing right now.

Five things?

1. Dedicated ranked servers on PC
2. Dedicated ranked servers on PC
3. Dedicated ranked servers on PC
4. Dedicated ranked servers on PC
5. Dedicated ranked servers on PC

MW3 played like a quick and dirty XBOX port on PC along with the awful peer to peer online system. Black Ops was far more fun and had dedicated ranked servers.

MW3 was a big disappointment for me after Black Ops. For the PC it felt like a quick and dirty port from the 360. I'm hoping Black Ops II has dedicated server support that ruined MW3 for me and a better balanced set of weapons.

Pretty poor showing by Microsoft, very little in the way of first party games, some good footage of multiplat's though but too much focus once again on making the xbox a one stop multimedia centre that tries too hard to be too many things and they all seem a bit limited even the addition of Internet Explorer which I was interested in seemed a bit restricted but I'll wait and see once the update comes along.

Bullshit, I went to E3 in 2006 and had a blast, it was probably the last big E3 there was with booth babes galore and all the major manufacturers and publishers were there spending a fortune on their areas. EA's booth was total overload of sight and sound, a huge cylinder with wrap around projection screen at the top level, giant LCD screens underneath all showing new game footage, flashing light, a wall of sound and then underneath all that there were the PC's all around the perimete...

Daikatana will be released on consoles, they are working on it now so it should see release for the XBOX 15840 and the PS44

Three days? Really? It looks good but FFS! I simply walked upstairs to my pc, went to the Blizzard site and bought it, it downloaded overnight as I slept safe and warm in my bed. I wonder if later on in life they will look back at those three days with remorse. Time lost when time on this earth is so precious.

They have little interest in the PC as a format, hugely delayed DLC, no ranked dedicated server support, gimped player count to suit consoles but then they don't seem to value their customers whatever the format just knock out another rehashed version with assets from the last few titles. Unlike some I don't want to see the Call of Duty franchise die but I do want to see it get a serious reboot with a new game engine that can be scaled to suit the platform like DICE's frostbite en...

They keep announcing new licenses but still nothing much to show for it where as their competitors such as Assetto Corsa, pCars, SimRaceWay are all releasing new in game screenshots, video's and in the case of pCars you can play the alpha builds for a small fee. They teased a " big" announcement months ago which was essentially a few engine noises posted to their website. Really disappointed by Simbin, GTR3 announced long ago and still nothing to offer.

Don't need a cover system, need dedicated servers for all platforms to rid us of the P2P system which just doesn't work well in CoD. Don't limit the player numbers on PC and give us maps that are designed to be increased or decreased in size like Battfield 3. I'm currently back into World at War as I think it may have been the last decent CoD for PC. No gimped player count to suit consoles and the weapons have a good spread of attributes between them. It was perhaps the last ...

This is one title I'll give a miss. Their past actions and the use of a game engine which is archaic by modern standards doesn't really interest me at all

You really think that Sony/Microsoft will back the bricks and mortar stores over their publishing partners? Get real! It will be EA, Activision, Ubisoft etc telling Sony and Microsoft to do something about used game usage on their platforms else they simply won't support them. No content? No console! You think bricks and mortar shops can exert greater power than the publishers can? More and more sales are moving online, either digital distribution or online stores like Amazon. GAME, Game...

With all the money they had made from this franchise it's time they skipped a year and developed a brand new purpose built engine and there is no justification for not having dedicated servers with perhaps the ability for even console gamers to be able to rent a server too for ranked matches. Activision have milked the franchise and gamers for long enough, it's time to invest or Battlefield and Medal of Honor will usurp them.

I feel sorry for the workers on the shop floor, its not a good time to be out of work if the worst happens to GAME/Gamestation/Gameplay but they are being led by idiots. They bit the hand that feeds, they promoted used games over new and then wondered why publishers took steps to take their trade away like online passes, exclusive DLC and moving faster towards digital sales. The supermarkets selling blockbusters like FIFA and Call of Duty each year at knock down prices hurt them further but I...

The handling and physics keep improving with each new release and its still only an alpha and look stunning compared to rFactor 2's dated looking engine.

5137d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Still pretty disappointing. The game engine looks like something from 2007, it looks more like rFactor 1.5. Project Cars and Assetto Corsa due this year have moved to a DX11 compatible engine and will make use of laser scanned tracks as iRacing already does then it makes rFactor 2 look dated right out of the gate. I'll keep my beta purchase but I'm not sure if I'll get the use I thought I would out of it.

Its free, you have nothing to lose by trying it. Personally I prefer Battlefield 3 but also enjoy playing MW3.
