Yes I would agree, but when your outside and someone is stood in the shade of a tree they shouldn't be pitch black.
During the Alpha I was running at really good FPS with settings on high, my spec:

The game seems optimised well.
What I hated was the awful contrast and bloom (HDR) in the game, shadows were pitch black and lights were brighter than bright, even out doors you couldn;t see people in the shade, it made is extreamly difficult to spot players, with the crazy high contrast fot that "hol...
I got an alpha trial code yesterday by going to the link, somone posted it in a shout box on the BF3 blog site, I was sceptical at first but hey presto, got a code, downloaded origin and I was in the MP alpha trial, was kind of amazed.
Just need to update my drivers becuase the graphics were glitchy to hell on mine. :)
Anyone hoping that the speed at which you drop to prone and stand up again is slowed down, this guy's up and down like a yo-yo sometimes.

BF3 is far from realism, check out ArmaII and Red Orchestra/Darkest Hour for realisim.
Although BF3 does look to have a good balance between arcade and realism, but its not flat out realism.
I wouldnt go to say MW3 is an arcade shooter either, ok its faster paced but theres nothing reall "arcade" about it.
its just a computer game, jeeeze.
I heard there was no Online Championship modes, I think this will be similiar to what Shift 2 has.

EA don't want you to have mod tools becuase then modders can make maps for free, instead of EA selling you theirs.
Its probably not a DICE decision just an EA one.
