I love how this site reports everything about the game yet seems to be downing it at the same time saying EVERY character in the game is a stereotype. Isn't it kind of stupid to say that when you have yet to play the game? You cannot really know until you know what they do throughout the game.
Anyway the game looks great and I can't wait.
Indeed it does. I would think that Atlus will announce it for the US early next year. I would bet my money that they are already working on the game but are waiting a bit so people won't have to wait as long once it's announced.
As far as these sales go. This is just more proof to me that Digital Distribution is not gonna take over. If a popular game like Persona 3 could not sell alot in a country that's FAR more technically advanced then the US then it's just not gonna happen. ...
Wow I didn't know La Pucelle was coming to the PSP. I really hope it comes stateside. La Pucelle is one of my favorite games ever would be a shame if we don't see the game come stateside.
A quick google for both Tetsuya Takahashi and Soraya Sora returns nearly no results save for a single interview with Takahashi written prior to the first games release. There is VERY little mention of the entire game being planned and ready to go. All there is on the subject is this.
GS: We've heard that you already have the majority of the plot in mind. So, for instance, Square's Xenogears is technically the fifth episode in the story. Where do you intend to go from here?

Personally for me the people who own the IP can make something Canon and as long as it's not butchering the series it's ok.
I had never heard of the last 3 episodes having already been written and would love a source citing that. But even if it is true they never happened and technically cannot be considered canon as they were never finished. Xenosaga III's ending was VERY open ended and could allow for about a million different ways to continue the story. Written by the original...
Ok someone needs to make a rule. No more countdown clocks for games that are coming to the DS. The whole thing is retarded. They tease us with these big elaborate sites that look like they would go with a big budget HD game and then it's a tiny little hand held game for a franchise everyone has forgotten about and doesn't really care about anymore.
Bandai still holds the rights to the Xenosaga series and at this point the main reason the series has not come back is because the sales of the original games was not to their liking.
And I don't see why you think a new game would not be canon or good because of the lack of Monolith. Bandai would have all the material for a new team to make a new game canon and series have changed hands many times in the past and got better because of it.
Monolith was the reason the ...
Personally I think a Wii 2 makes no sense at all at this point in time.
Think of it this way. Developers have proved they can make hardcore games for the wii with things like Muramasa, Dead Space, Call of Duty, Madworld, No more Hero's and more and yet they don't sell. Graphics and not being in HD are not a point here. These games for the most part found ways around not being in HD and look great. Yet they still don't sell. Reason being is the VAST majority of Nintendo's install...
I do have to say that this is a bit fail on some levels.
The vast Majority of J-RPG's coming out these days no longer have random battles. They are either entirely real time hack and slash or you can see the enemy on the field and choose to engage it or not.
The formula thing also is a bit off. While Demon's Souls doesn't really follow any J-RPG formula it does seemingly follow a more western RPG formula.
That said the rest of the list is pretty spot o...
The first movie was good and only a few things held it back from being great. Namely the fact that it focused on the mother and not the father. No real reason for that at all.
I read awhile ago that the reason they put the mother in the main role was because in the original game Harry's instincts to find his daughter are more maternal then they are fatherly so they thought it would work better with a female lead instead of a male lead. However the reality is that all that did wa...
Indeed. While Xenosaga Episode III very effectively ended that particular story arc there was obviously more to tell. They could do alot more with the franchise and I think alot of people forget that the series was original supposed to be 6 Episodes but it was cut short due to creative differences within Monolith.
For sure. I too would LOVE to see a sequel to Vesperia.
@George Sears
While Nintendo did buy Monolith I'm pretty sure Namco Bandai owns the Xenosaga IP. And while the Story was wrapped up pretty nicely in Episode III it was quite obvious that there was ALOT more to tell. The game was original supposed to be 6 parts remember it was cut short to 3.
I highly doubt it is a tales of vesperia sequel for 2 reasons. Bandai said that if it did happen it would not be for quite awhile and we still have yet to get the PS3 version of Vesperia in the US.
2nd the site says "That RPG Returns" and Tales has always been around it never really went away. We have always had a tales game in one way or another. Right now people are still playing Vesperia(at least the PS3 version in Japan) and soon Tales of Graces will be the next gam...
i would LOVE LOVE LOVE for it to be a new Xenosaga however I find that unlikely but then again I really don't know what else it could be. The site does a somewhat sci fi look to it but then again the look of the site didn't help anyone guess that the last teaser site was for a keroro game. Guess we will just have to wait.
Let me state this the song sucks and it doesn't belong in the game. And not for the reason most people think.
While I think the song is just bad and doesn't fit that's not my main issue.
My issue is that it's a random song from a random artist that has nothing to do with the game at all. The Japanese theme song WAS WRITTEN FOR THE GAME!!! It fits the game it makes sense to the story and should be there. There is a song that has nothing to do with the characters or ...
I don't know about acutal content being released via DLC(like new monsters quests and stuff) But I think it's very likely that with the backlash about not having both the Japanese and English the on the same disc(thanks to the 360) That they may just add a way to add the Japanese voice track via DLC. It would make alot of sense and if they priced it right it would make them ALOT of money as a large majority of the fans would get it simply because they prefer the Japanese to the English.
It's a horrible idea to do what hey did. My only hope is they get so much backlash from the fans that they change it back to the Japanese theme before the games release and maybe only use the other pile of crap at the end of the credits or something. I mean from looking around on N4G and various other gaming forums it seems around 90% of the people are totally against this English theme song.
Why the hell is there a English song in the US version?
That makes no sense. The only reason a English song should be there is if they did what they did with Kingdom Hearts and have someone do both the Japanese and English song exactly the same just in different languages. They did it TWICE in Kingdom hearts with the help of Utada Hikaru and Namco Bandai did it in Tales of Vesperia with the help of Bonnie Pink. Both times the song sounds exactly the same but just is sung in a dif...
What's the big deal. It's a bigger version of an iPhone with some of the most stupid things in it I have EVER heard. WTF a Barber shop? What the hell is that? This thing sounds like total fail.
