Everything looks good so far. I am happy to see that character creation will be deeper this time around. After playing FFXI for nearly 6 years my main complaint with the game was that you would see a million and half clones of yourself because of the incredibly limited creation process.

Lemme get something off my chest. I hated Goldeneye and I NEVER understood why people loved it so much. Granted at the time of it's release I was largely a PC gamer but I still had plenty of games on console I loved. But Goldeneye was not one of them.
It boggles my mind when I play something like KIllzone 2 or Modern Warfare 2 with a friend and they say something along the lines of "Goldeneye is so much better" What is wrong with these people.

Well sadly anything would be a improvement over FFXI. The game had so few options it was laughable. I mean I love the game and have been playing it going on 6 years now but I HATE seeing people who look like my character every 10 seconds.
Hopefully this time around that won't be a issue. But really we can't say for sure until the Beta comes out and we see just how much there is to mess around with.
It SOUNDS like it's much better then XI's clone mania character creation. But it still remains to be see how many options on each part of the body you will have. If it's just a few for each it's kinda pointless as we will once again see a million and a half clones.
I love how they say the Zune is a dud when the vast majority of people out there thinks the Zune HD is a better product then the Ipod Touch.
Well I could care less about the Ipod touch. But I would like to see a Zune HD with 128gigs. I would buy that in a heartbeat. I'm hoping that MS announces a bigger Zune HD soon.

I'm not so sure we can. It says that you cannot apply twice for any reason or it will invalidate your previous application. So I don't know how you would be able to play the PS3 version until it became public which might not be for quite awhile.
Maybe the Beta code they send will work on both PC and PS3(once they start allowing PS3 users to beta test).
I guess we just have to wait and see.
I signed up and I'm wondering when they are actually gonna start it. I would imagine it's soon if they are accepting applications. Now the only issue is finding out if my PC will run the game. I don't really care if I can run it at max specs. As I will probably be playing the final release on PS3 but I would like to check it out before it comes out.
Well at face value this game is worthless however if you read into it it's great news.
One it means they have not giving up on the series because of the issues with Itagaki-san leaving.
two it means they are more willing to support Sony Platforms now and it's a possibility that when and if DOA 5 is announced that it will be on PS3.(Hopefully exclusive so they can give the series that extra bit of graphical kick but I'm not holding my breath).

I don't see why everyone wants English subs for the Japanese version. It makes no sense to multiple reasons.
A)No one in Japan wants English subs so why would they release them.
B) The Japanese version of the game is over 100 bucks why would you wanna pay more for that?
C) They could easily add Japanese VO as DLC to both the PS3 and the 360 and solve the problem that way(Which is FAR more likely then the Japanese version getting English subs).

Sony and their first party studio's have made games that look FAR better then Bayonetta run flawlessly on PS3. If anyone can fix up the game to run the way it should it's them. If they can fully take advantage of the PS3 hardware there is a decent chance the game could end up looking better then the 360 version. Is it unlikely? yes it is. But still possible nonetheless.

I find it funny because if Sony does succeed in this then the US PS3 version will look better then the 360 version. Although this isn't really fact yet. A random website saying it's happening is no confirmation. Once Sony, Sega or Platinum Games comes out and tells us this is the case I will believe it.

Vanillaware have made Odin Sphere, The Grim Grimore and Oboromuramasa(Muramasa The Demon Blade). That picture is actually a play on a very old Japanese classic painting. I believe the name of the painting is the Fishermans Wife however I am not 100% sure about that.
Honestly I would not want to see them do a 3D game. I would like to see what they could do on the PS3 in 1080P. They have such a beautiful art style and I don't think that style would transfer...

Personally I would like a reboot of the series starring the original characters from the first game and tweek the story a bit.
The biggest issue is making the game intense and control well at the same time. Which in this day in gaming is no easy task.
