This is one of the very few games I would actually like to see get a real nice remaster. It's such a underrated game and tons of people have never heard of it let alone played it.
Giving it a nice coat of paint and getting it back out there could be awesome and help it gain more cache with people. But yeah that is very unlikely.
Outside of the upcoming expansion packs I think you might be waiting awhile to see more Witcher.
CDPR basically said they are switching focus to Cyberpunk and knowing how they are a "it's ready when it's done" studio we could be in for a massive wait for another Witcher game. Still I have to say I am very interested to see what another Witcher would do after 3.

Truth be told I had a somewhat similar reaction to the footage. At first I was excited and hyped to see what the game was and thought wow that looks awesome. Then the battles happened and it had a terrible framerate, awkward animations(like Drew running over to the chest) and the combat looked far to simplistic for something coming from Platinum.

I agree wholeheartedly I would far rather the game have the right feel and the right level of fun then have crazy graphics. I would imagine the game would not have even been green lit if the idea was the push graphics.

I thought about this alot when Konami first cancelled Silent Hills and I thought to myself. As long as Kojima can get the money he can still make Silent Hills exactly as he wanted to and just don't call it Silent Hills.

The art style looks great. Honestly nice graphics are good and all that but less graphics with great art direction wins pretty much every time.
The use of color in Fallout 4 is miles ahead of what we saw in New Vegas and Fallout 3 and I think that is just awesome.
Plus with the whole modding thing people can make the game look much better if they feel like it isn't already pretty enough.
If they had come out and showed the CG trailer and then said work would start soon or indicate it wasn't already being worked on then maybe I would think the game could become Vaporware.

Yeah i thought it was criminally underrated. The only real thing I found lacking was variety in the enemies you fight but that would be easily fixed in a sequel.

Well XCOM is most loved on the PC so it makes sense that XCOM 2 will be PC exclusive. That said I would be shocked if it didn't come out on console sometime down the road.
On topic however I think it's a good thing a ton of the games we are getting now dropped the last gen versions. I mean when you think about how well this console generation is doing in terms of sales it makes leaving the old consoles behind a bit easier. I mean larger install base will equal better...

I honestly think it looks pretty good. If you break it down to a technical level sure it is weaker then one might like. That said it seems to be using color and style far more then 3 or NV did. It's really one of those art style trumps raw graphical horsepower.

I see what you are saying and this will only be made worse for people who have seen Mad Max Fury Road. I mean after that incredible movie pretty much anything will pale in comparison. It also would not shock me if all they want the game to be is Just Cause in the desert they may think that is all they need to do.

I am able to get a solid 60fps with very rare dips here and there with a 980 pre patch hairworks would drop a very consistent 10 fps however since patch 1.03 it only drops when I am around a ton of people. Otherwise seems to be stable.
I personally don't care for it. It does indeed look pretty good but not to the degree that you should have it on at the cost of performance.
While I do agree it looks rather bland and the graphics are not what they could be I kinda don't mind.
I mean the series lives and dies by it's game play and that was what killed it when they started doing all those dumb gimmicks. If the game plays and feels like a real Tony Hawk game I would be happy enough with that.

I personally think that Deep Down should have just been Dragon's Dogma online which funny enough is what alot of folks thought it was until Capcom came out and said otherwise. I know now there is a Dragon's Dogman online but it was not handled very well.

The thing with me is if they even know what some of the stuff is going to be why did they not just say what they had planned and then just saw we have more as well but we need to get the details nailed down.

It used to work fine for me but now as of the last few weeks has been having nothing but issues. Sound can't be controlled, won't allow me to full screen, track bar will not let me skip ahead. Yeah they need to get a new player.

I think if they are doing more then one game they might do well to basically adapt each disc of the original game into a game now and then sell it for less then full price and when all of them are done make a complete release version. I think that would be ok cause it would basically be the same game but we would not have to wait as long to play it.
