So their opinion is invalid?
Glad they cleared up the BS cliché people spew about "no game should get a 10 because no game is perfect"...
I've never taken '10' to mean 'perfect' (but then I'm not an anal-retentive). The score gives a general idea while the write-up qualifies that score. If people ONLY ever go by the score then they're not very discerning gamers.
I'm not clicking on this out of principle. Who has "doubts" about IMFAMOUS 2 - Sixthaxis, of Kapow? Is the headline deliberately misleading to make it seem everyone is turning against part 2 of this franchise?
Glad to hear it's a success - I loved every minute of DEAD NATION, but did find it a little short. Hope for some extra DLC missions at some point.
I know - Seeing your own name over the character is a blast.
That's a bizarre analogy, yet I actually get what they mean... I guess that means it's well written.
In all fairness, had ENSLAVED been an exclusive (for either system), it probably would have been a lot better.
Awww, I'll get both and tell you what you're missing.
I love that jungle level! Can't wait to try it out in both SP and MP modes.
Oh, and perfectly decent voice acting too... To hear the whinging in some of the reviws, I was expecting "Plan 9 from Outer Space" standards of performance.
Yeah, I do that too! If I play people I'll have my backside handed to me on a Helghan platter in no time... Popping bots gives me a great sense of superiority and, as far as I'm concerned, the game plays just as beautifully. The bots are a lot smarter than those in KZ2 too and on occasion, I do actually forget I'm playing against them.
While I don't for one second consider DS2 a "bad" game, I can't help but feel a little disappointed after finishing it. I felt I was just meandering from place to place too much, the fact that the chapters flowed into each other left me wondering what I'd actually achieved (I much prefer the episodic nature of DS1), the Necromorph battles seem awfully contrived at times and I didn't find it as atmospheric or scary as the first instalment at all.
I...
I STILL play KZ1... Always play as Luger too for her night vision - It's an amazing game. I want a HD edition sooo badly!
Wow, even the "4.5 hours" places KZ3 in the high end!
If only this laid the situation to rest - We know it won't though...
I've just finished DEAD SPACE 2 (which I didn't like nearly a much as the first game) and it took me around 6-7 hours FIRST TIME. I'm playing it again and I'm flying through it even faster - Pity people only see what they want to see.
So according to Edge's score, NOTHING Has improved from KZ2?
I've just been playing the Botzone to avoid connection issues (and to have all the unlocks from the off;)) and it's fecking amazing!
The sense of combat is just so intense that even without the stunning visuals, KILLZONE 3 would be something special.
Brilliant scores, yet the 7/10's are getting the most hits and most comments (and the most "LOL @ FAILZONE" comments)
And the people wonder why PS3 fans get annoyed.
I have a human evolutionary tool known as "common sense" (try it some time) which tells me that because I played (and still play) and loved KZ1, played (and still play) and loved KZ2 that the odds are VERY GOOD that I will play and love KZ3. No fanatasism, no fanboyism, just extrapolation of my existing feelings and use of that pesky common sense.
On topic: Yet another shameful example of how sad this industry has become. Worse still are the nodding dogs rushin...
Sarcasm doesn't work in text form, unless the reader is psychic (and I'm not)
I'll agree to disagree on this (although I didn't click "disagree"). I think a review must be taken as a whole: Score gives general idea while text fills in the blanks. Anyone taking just the score as an absolute is doomed to disappointment.
