KILLZONE 3's story is the equivalent of Dunkirk, with political intrigue thrown in for additional depth. This narrative plays out clearly and in an interesting way, so how is that a "miserable failure"?

All this presuming he DID actually shred it and isn't as we speak still playing on another account because he's grudgingly enjoying KZ3 more than he admits, despite being awful at it.
I believe Fredfenster was quite rightly pointing out the hypocrisy that so many REFUSE to see, and how frustrating it is that, whenever someone tries to point out this very blatant hypocrisy, they get branded as "complaining" or a "fanboy".
The double standards are there for everyone to see, and I suggest that people who refuse to acknowledge them (simply because to do so would mean that their negative view of a game might be *gasp* wrong) are teetering ...
I absolutely loathe people who bandy the term "fanboy" about in such a snobbish, superior way but then procede to behave in exactly the same manner that they pretend to so above.
Even worse when they bleat that their trolling is 'fact' as if we'll all throw our hands up in the air and go "wow, okay! That put ME in my place!"
You feel entitled to waltz in here and declare 80% as "average", but as soon as PS3 fans suggest KZ3 isn't getting fair reviews, people leap from the shadows to bleat "Stop complaining - 80% is a GREAT score!"

BULLETSTORM is supposed to be "corny" and "cheesy" so gets forgiven by reviewers.
Fair enough.
KZ3 is supposed to be a "big-budget action movie" which places well orchestrated set pieces over all else but gets "tut tutted" and repeatedly kicked by reviewers.
Hardly fair at all.

Very witty! I like the James Cameron parody line best. I just hope that the marketing campaign doesn't backfire as, to judge by some of the dull comments here, it may well have done.
The game itself does actually look a lot of fun and I may well patronise this product!
As the cover system worked perfectly fine in KZ2, how is it suddenly "totally broken"?

I'm so tempted to buy a standard copy on Wednesday (after all, I do have two PS3's in the house and need one to play upstairs on my Slim don't I?;))
The "Ice Cutter" sequence looks intense, and adds yet ANOTHER gameplay style to the mix. The animations and framerate look rock solid too.
And yet, according to some reviewers, KZ3 "adds nothing new" to what KZ2 offered. Just sad....
I think some of the shorter ones are real time, or at least that's the impression I got when playing.

Can't believe that every new clip continues to amaze me with just how good the game looks - It's so sad that too many reviewers failed (or refused) to recognise the technical achievements that Guerrilla Games managed.

Yup, looks good, but as far as I'm concerned it lacks the atmosphere to set it apart. I see Halo footage, I know right away. I see Killzone footage, I know it right away. I see this... and I wouldn't know what it was until I was told.
Still, I expect to see people raving about it as if it's the second coming, that graphics will suddenly matter again and that certain people here will behave as if it's an Xbox 360 exclusive.
