I can only ever speak from my own perspective and give my own opinion (obviously), and from that view point I agree totally with what this write-up says.
I swear that as soon as the KZ3 demo started I was into it, involved, hooked and excited. It's stunning visually, so much fun to play and the action doesn't let up - The cut scene transitions were smooth, well directed and (golly gosh what a surprise) well voiced.
Once the thrill had died down I could...
We PS+ users are only getting it a bit early - It's coming to everyone soon (next week I think).
I was so busy with the KZ3 demo that I didn't know STACKING was totally free for PS+ subscribers (not just the trial, but the full unlock too!). Downloading that right now.
It's worth the wait (although mine only took 35 minutes) - The demo is beautiful to behold and a delight to play.
Downloaded (very quickly too) played it (three times so far)... Found it FECKING AWESOME!!
You can see the visual diference right away, and new players should find the controls far more accessible. I loved the brutal melee, and I found myself using it as much as possible (although it got me killed a few times) - My only moan is that the jump-pack sequence was too short... I hope it's used elsewhere in the SP campaign.
Oh, and I found the "terrible" v...
Looks like a good mix of play-styles... So looking forward to finally trying out the jetpack.
They're not "charging" for 'a demo'... an optional paid service is getting a demo unavailable to non-subscribers, which was a factor we all knew when the service started.
Subtle wording makes a world of difference.
Boobies n' rubber... They know how to appeal to gamers alright!!
Honestly, I've tried - They just aren't as fun as I remember.
Of course graphics matter - In many instances, quality visuals enhance the gameplay.
If they didn't matter, I'd still be playing my SNES.
Against competition? How very un-christian.
The Move integration IS innovative... The 3-D implimentation IS innovative... Didn't seem to count for anything when it came to reviews, strangely.
Hmmmm.... If KZ 3's meta score is "too high" then I suggest so is the score for Forza and Halo. 'Truth' is, Halo Reach is an 80 -81 game. See how easy it is to spew BS?
Basically, WTF are you bleating on about?
That makes no sense at all! As long as an OPTIONAL control scheme isn't included, you're happy?
"There were review sessions set up for members of the press, but the sessions I sat in on weren't fully populated, so it didn't feel fair to use that experience for the purposes of reviewing the online modes"
Yet he did deem it "fair" to pass judgement on the whole package without fully playing it?
Staggering ignorance!
I didn't but MAG... no interest.
I didn't buy White Knight Chronicles... no interest.
I didn't buy Yakuza 3... no interest.
I'll buy KZ3 regardless of reviews because I loved KZ1 and 2
Basically, stop thinking you're somehow privvy to a great truth when in reality you're just spouting yet more trolling BS.
or... "1080p KILLZONE 3 not possible anywhere else anyway because it's owned by Sony"
So what was that point again?
The plot does sound very grim - I'm old fashioned, so hope for a happy ending of sorts. Good to hear that they've moved away from the military angle of the first two games too. Nothing against SRPA, but it will add a new dimension to see the civvies fighting, I think.
And upgradeable weapons? Nice! I love the Magnum too!
Perhaps, but as I found KZ2 so exceptional, I wouldn't consider that a bad thing.
I'd sooner have two gold bars rather than one gold and one silver just because the silver was 'different'.
I haven't tried it with Move yet, but the demo opens with the standard "be careful that you don't hit anyone in the face" Move disclaimer so I assume 'yes'.
