42 inch telly for me - Maybe it does make a difference.
I played through the whole demo in co-op mode with my sister with no trouble at all. I found that the sides being out of alignment actually helped me keep my concentration on my half of the screen.
I liked the death screams! But, having them 'toned down' won't affect the game, so...
A little thing like a custom soundtrack can make a huge difference and used it all the time in KZ2 - I tried it in the KZ3 demo but when I couldn't play my music files I though it was just an ommission from the beta and would be in the final game - Definately want it patched in.
I think I'll be playing OPERATIONS the most - Very nice map, different enough to the "frozen Dam" for the two to sit side by side very comfortably.
Can't wait to get that huge "Helghast Edition" box in the post next week!
I don't care about ranking up - I'll be mostly playing bot matches as you know for a fact they won't snipe, camp, grenade spam or otherwise cheat. The bots of KZ3 are way smarter than 2 and people should really consider it a serious alternative.
Looks amazing! I would have driven into the twister though, just to see what happened.
Very good! ;)
So what do you call someone who actually buys the games they want?
I'd rather it be on 'rails' and be interactive (ie: Be able to shoot the enemy) than drive and just chug along from A to B.
So, as Guerilla wanted to produce a "realistic sci-fi shooter", I guess they succeeded then? If you want space opera, KZ isn't for you.
And you infer from your statement that you think COD is generic too?
Oo yes, I like that map! Snow battles are always cool (forgive the pun) - Reminds me of 'Hoth' in EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
The official MP trailer for this map came out last week - It looks very nice, but is my least favourite that I've seen so far. I think I'll be spending most of my time in the Helghan Jungle as that's my favourite from the maps that we know of.
Oh knock it off with the tired clichés Manchild - Why is so hard for YOU to accept that these reviewers (who are falible human beings) might just have an agenda after all. can't journalists be "fanboys"?
And I hope you're as quck to launch your bluster at all of the "360 fanboys" who giggle like children and bleat "LOL KILLZONE FAIL" whenever reviews like this are posted (such as 'Loner' at post #5 below me, who was the fi...
My integrity trumps your codes, and is just as free but far more precious.
In answer to your first question: Fear and jealousy
In answer to your second... er, ummm, don't know. I predict some people will cry "Bioshock", but for all the story twists, it still boiled down to the 'shooter template'
Hmmm... the first STAR WARS in 1977 wasn't "original" (based on "The Hidden Fortress", Flash Gordon, various 'hero' fables and all manner of cliffhanger serials) was very predicatable (boy rescues princess, etc. etc.) and yet was a smash hit that revolutionised popular cinema.
I don't presume to suggest that KZ revolutionizes the FPS genre, but (like the first STAR WARS) what it does do it does exceptionally well - For some games, that...
Another great review with hardly any comments - Guess good news makes haters run and hide.
Love the chase sequence in the second cut scene (along with the GOOD voice acting) - Very cinematic!
Helghan women have HAIR!
And just from watching that sequence I'm already fascinated by what's being stolen, who's being shot and the various other doings. "Crap story" indeed...
So it's okay to bleat about how this review is "just an opinion", but having the OPINION that a review is illogical, unbalanced, unfair and generally poor makes a person a "fanboy" (the latest coined phrase bandied about by those lacking imagination)?
I'll take a "pathetic fanboy" over a whinging hypocrite any day. At least the 'fanboys' have standards.
