This is true. I tend to only buy older films and TV series on disc, yet only recent stuff seems to be getting the 'digital restoration' treatment for Blu-Ray.
The notion of a set of classic Hammer Horror films restored to maximum clarity on the format is something I could really get excited about, but as I can't see it happening for quite some time I have stick with DVD (which my PS3 also plays, of course!)
@Too Hyped, above
Yes, the studios are back...
I'm not sure how anyone can 'hate' something like HOME. It is ultimately just a glorified chatroom after all (albeit a technically brilliant one).
I don't know how they can say it has been 'pushed' on users by Sony either. It's there. Use it or don't. I only use it now and then, but see a lot of potential for the service to become something truly special given the chance (a courtesy some don't seem willing to extend to it.)
What's a Spus? Plural for 'spud'?
If someone keeps saying that the console I have chosen to purchase and support is "crap", "dead", "has no games" etcetra then I'm going to correct the people who say these blatantly false statements. That does NOT make me a 'fanboy', just 'human'.
If on the other hand my response is to attack another console (which I don't do), that would make me a 'fanboy' in my view.
I just hate double standards. PS3 attacking is 'legitimate', ...
Oh the irony of this post (and it's 'agrees'!).
Basically you're saying "Fanboys are terrible, but that 'other lot' are the worst".
See, to be so high and mighty you have to be equally disparaging of ALL 'fanboys'. If you start pointing out only the 'opposition's flaws then that actually makes you a fanboy yourself. Sorry if that's news to you....
If you played FTOD and still think the series is 'tired' then there's not much I can say to change your mind (you're wrong of course!).
R&C FTOD was my first exposure to the franchise and I was bowled over by just how awesome it was. There was wit, charisma and charm in abundance and I can't for the life of me think why ANYONE would consider it "sterile"(What does that even mean in the context of a game anyway?).
More of the same for CIT please!
Sounds like they're being deliberately vague so they can say "We we're right" no matter what the truth is.
COD MW had Americans as the 'good guys' and Arabs as the 'bad guys'. I doubt the Fallujah game will show civillians being killed on mass (if at all), so either both are tasteless or neither are (in my view)
I expect there'll be protests everywhere when this game gets released, yet COD MODERN WARFARE got barely a peep despite dealing with essentially with the same sort of situations.
Are you bipolar or something?
"As long as people blindly support a product that could be better there is no need to improve it."
Bloody 'ell, I can't believe I actually read that comment.
I'll support and stick with the console that has been reliable from day one thanks, and it just happens to be the PS3.
I agree.
I meant my post in the context of people using the "everyone's entitled to an opinion" as an excuse to foist such crap articles on us.
Wasn't very clear was I???;)
At around the same time this review popped up on N4G, another was released which scored KZ2 at 9.7 out of 10. Odd how that one fades into the background while this gets all the attention. Shouldn't it be the other way round??
And so the stance that "everyone is entitled to an opinion" takes another bashing.
Oh dear god, how have I managed without those three???
What? The author musn't be able to do two things at once, so applies the same logic to Sony.
Projects can actually OVERLAP, you silly buffoon!!!!!
I hope not - It's my favourite genre. Always has been....
I got a disagree for saying exactly the same thing. Some odd folk out there!
Well done for proving Butterfingers' VERY valid point there matey!! 360 and PC games are "exclusives", while PS3 and PC games are not, apparently. Make yer mind up...
