Wake me up when the "Microsoft wanted/wants to make their own games" articles start hitting.

Whoa there, hoss! Might want to reign in all that logic, folks 'round here don't take very kindly to people pointing out it's really not that hard to invest and build in to what you already have.

Sony and Nintendo both did it time and again with their staple franchises, what's Microsoft's excuse? Especially when they have the finances.

As of writing, I have yet to see one person sensibly try to answer why the money they put on acquis...

You don't know if it will be solid.

Additionally, Indiana Jones is neither Nathan Drake nor Lara Croft.

Even with the best of circumstances in play, I really don't see how this IP gets made into a must play title. Nothing to do with the exclusivity.

He's not a hyper action star, so no huge action setpieces like Uncharted or the recent Tomb Raiders.

It seems ripe to be a mid title simply because of the I...

Sorry, you lost all credibility by refusing to properly answer for yourself when asked to do so. Twice.

I saw that you commented a similar thing on another thread that you had multiple examples of multiplat MS games.

Minecraft is a given, as are it's subsidiary releases like Legends and Dungeons and Story Mode if you really want to go that far, but it's all part of one property thusly shouldn't be treated as individual games.

What other examples do you have?

Spiderman isn't a third party, given that it is developed by Insomniac (a first party studio) and the property itself is also owned by Sony (hence the MCU disputes, Venom, etc)

Microsoft WAS approached by Marvel to have their own superhero property but MS said no. That's on them.

FF16 is the actual topic of debate though, as it's a third party (Square) releasing exclusively for PS5.

In both cases, they are not the same as ...

Several days of rich people strategically lying and word twisting

I don't know the specifics regarding what cases get livestreamed, but given the stakes at hand and the interest of gamers getting to see exactly what is asked and how exactly its answered with the added bonus of body language (text transcripts don't usually translate this part quite the same) would indeed be interesting to watch.

Again citing that I don't know what goes on to de...

Kind of a shoot yourself in the foot before the race starts kind of statement. I've yet to see the crowd excited for GaaS titles. I've seen the hype for this fizzle out and die on discovery it was a GaaS after reveal.

A tall order to claim and live up to, with so many (myself included) sick of the extreme nickel and diming the industry has now.

Okay, fair is fair. I will take it then as an honest question as you've said it is and not a layered dig.

I spoke about Xbox because this is an Xbox related article, and the many similar articles that have cropped up since the Xbox showcase and Starfield showing.

Release windows aren't the same thing as concrete dates. They get moved and missed all the time. You knew this before you even replied.

As for your question, pretty good so far actually. FF7 Rebirth will be a nice strong start. Before you put forth "lol Sony has nothing next year", keep in mind that everything they have announced prior to now has either already released or has a -concrete- date. Unannounced games also do not equate to announced but unreleased ...

I feel bad.

So many of these articles lately, desperate to put a positive spin on an otherwise very empty state and bleak outlook overall. So much copium huffing.

If you may remember, Microsoft stated in 2021 that this year was going to be their year. While most thought it was ridiculous to have a console be dry of exclusives for two whole years, the faithful decided to wait it out diligently. Now, we are halfway through the proclaimed "year of gam...

By this logic, Starfield was also a Playstation game but everyone knows you aren't ready for that conversation because suddenly "planned for" won't mean the same thing you're purporting it to mean here.

I misread the title and only saw "the first asymmetrical multi-player horror game" and was going to ask what they thought Dead by Daylight and Monstrum were.

I have seen some real reaches in my time for people to put their preference at the forefront, but "30fps more accurately represents the alien planets, whereas 60fps is more of an earth exclusive frame rate" is by long and far at the top.

We might have to preserve this comment by darthv72 for the Museum of Desperate Fanboyism because they have put out something truly special here.

All this talk about exclusive xbox games, and they can't even get the ones announced out of the door in a functional state.

I'd really like to understand the psychology, it's remarkable how close minded Xbox diehards are. No extrapolation abilities, constant La-La Land mindsets, contradicting and hypocritical outputs.

I'm tired of this topic, and I'm more tired of the verbal feces being churned out in these discussions.
