It is good that this is coming, though it does beg the question of the why it wasn't available at launch. The FPS modes, I mean.

The R☆ of today is extremely unlikely to put out any project that isn't GTA because of the gaming climate and because GTA is stupidly self sustaining.
Gone are the days of a mainline title and a portable tie-in/standalone title of the same name just like publishers putting out multiple fighters at once.
Costs are too high and mainline titles have become too gargantuan to allow for "risks" on lesser titles that may not take off or sell.

Ironically, Battlefront 2 was peak Star Wars. There's a reason that this is coming out again with updates instead of Battlefront 3, though ironically this will also be the second time we didn't get a Battlefront 3.

Look what recouping costs looks like. Tango delivered a great game in Hi-Fi Rush, and it didn't save them. Arkane is unfortunate but after Redfall, not wholly unexpected.
