My theory is that with MK8 finally wrapping up, and the Switch 2 rumored power, this is the most inexpensive field test to see how much interest in a F-Zero game exists.
They definitely could have ported GX from the Gamecube over with online and necessary touch ups to gauge the same, but that's obviously more of a risk financially and requires more effort than this.
It may not be much and it also may not be what the majority hoped, but because this is...
The popularity of this might be a field test for interest in a new, proper title. Maybe. Probably?
In any case, an actual F-Zero announcement that wasn't it appearing in something else. Wild times.
I believe that the IP is in a limbo of some kind, after the closure of Acclaim and the failure of Turok 2008. I could be wrong though.
That, and with the FPS market being what it is, I am not sure I'd want anyone to try because it would be dragged down by it's MP component. It would likely be soulless and I'd rather it live in memory than be dragged out to die all over again.
In what way is expecting to get a tangible copy in a collector's edition that goes as far as to include an empty case a "bad take?"
In what way can it be justified to even bother with the expense of creating a steelbook, only to put nothing in it? Not to mention in a "collector's edition" where people are spending extra to begin with.
It's an incredibly stupid practice that we can thank EA for starting with the Mass Effect...
As CrimsonWing said, there are PC scripts you can download and run through remote play. There is some tinkering involved though, between display and latency settings. It's individualized between each person based on your setup, but it's not too hard to find your sweet spot.
"If we wanted to"
So.... you.... haven't wanted to prior to now?
I sure love modern gaming.
Pay for this, pay for that, also pay for this and that. Pay this to get that. Now that you've done all that paying, have a 33-35% price increase. It's for value, trust me. Value to you? God no, where did you get a ludicrous idea like that?
Pay more, for less. Pay more to get what we decide to drip feed you. Pay, pay, pay.
Why does every Starfield article from videogamer sound like a bad thing being pitched as a good, favorable thing?
Why would invisible walls and barriers be good in a SPACE based OPEN WORLD RPG.
It stands to reason if we'll ever get other games from R* now that a lot of who made R* the powerhouse they are today have left.
Stuff like L.A Noire or anything that isn't live service GTA.
Certainly an interesting thing to say this far into the generation and ignoring the games that did release before Starfield.
We can expect whatever Factions 2 ends up being will definitely follow this model. There's no way it won't, especially after becoming it's own game. The Horizon multi-player game is also likely to fall victim to it, especially as no large multi-player focused game doesn't have it incorporated in some way.
The GaaS beast has evolved too far to be stopped and now it's bleeding into what were otherwise once respectable franchises, and the all powerful stoc...
This.
It's time it comes back.
The wording of the headline makes it sound like they are rejecting full shows of their in universe "shows" like Princess Robot Bubblegum or the space marine one
As opposed to adaptations of the IPs themselves as the description says
A no effort straight port without even basic fixes and upgrades, especially as the 360 version has dumpy code. Ironic since you get a better version of the game through MS's own backwards compatibility upscale tham you do with Rockstar's own outing.
I would suspect that if there is any credence behind the GTA4 "remaster", it will be more like this since the tone deafness reaches far and wide.
Furthermore, it doesn't bode well for G...
This is a silly article. It reads like it's one paragraph short of asking for an easy mode. The game provides answers for most of what is presented, which sounds like a skill issue for the author... and I don't think anyone went into it thinking you could spawn GTA tiers of creations. Well, obviously some did hence this article.
It's wild to me that themes still aren't a thing on PS5. Not only are they cheap easy money for those dumb enough to pay, but it also adds a level of personalized customization. A Spider-Man 2 theme to go with your Spider-Man 2 PS5, etc.
Go a step further and add a selection of sounds and HUD music, as well, so you aren't limited to theme specific sounds or music.
This shouldn't be something missing coming into year 4 of PS5.
Not only has it been explained multitudes of times, you haven't agreed with the explanation because you are of the single-minded mindset of what this does for Microsoft and your preferred platform choice.
Ok, sorry Dad.
See, I thought that too. It made sense in the beginning when the title selection was slimmer and Syphon Filter 1 and 2 (first party) had them and Resident Evil Directors Cut sadly did not. And as silly as that is, it made sense and fit the bill for Sony's annoying way of doing things.
But then Kingdom of Paradise and Super Stardust Portable for PSP came and didn't have trophies, but a later title Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light did. More confusingly, Stardust later g...
So, nothing?
