I truly hope this game does well.
@Vegamyster
BF5 sold well, it just didn't sell all the copies EA wanted it to sell. If I am not mistaken it sold over 7 million by 2018. Seriously do you know how many companies would like their game to even sell that much? Just because it didn't meet EAs expectations does not mean it failed. If am not mistaken Toy story 4 made millions, but I believe it didn't meet expectations when it came out.
So those people should never complain then. Some people love to complain, but will not show up to support these games
I have been saying for a while now, people refuse to support a game and then love to complain when they don't get a sequel or a studio closes.
@Saltdetector
another tired 3rd person cenimantic game.
Sign me up, cannot wait
The Last of us only has two games and ND is said to be working on a new IP
@assassingamer36
And what report was that? Can you please provide some evidence?
@Jin
Do you want all western games going forward?
Maybe start by actually convincing the so called gamers that love to talk about these games but not support them. No company will close a studio that is making money. People should stop pretending to care about these companies when they refuse to support them.
Also, closing a studio that many gamers refused to support does not equate to no more Japanese games and only western games. Just in case ...
@Jin
Seriously anyone that followed Japan studio knew their games were not selling well. Sony is a business and not a charity. People pretended to care, but not many cared to support Japan Studio when they were actually releasing games. You can say Fake outrage. Also we have no idea the conversation Sony had with Bend. If am not mistaken the article had stated the studio had problems during the development and the fact that Sony allowed them to make a new game, shows Sony was clearly...
Seriously many of the people complaining never care to support the things they are complaining about. Seriously does anyone think Sony will close down a service if enough people were using it and making them money? Many of these people don't use any of these services and don't support any of the smaller games. They just like to pretend to care and complain.
Actually they don't, Tencent owns about 40% of epic. Tim still owns more of the company.
You might want to do some basic research on that. Playstation makes billions more than Nintendo
Start by convincing your fellow gamers to start supporting those games. People love to complain, but will not support studios that release these games. If indies were making more money for Sony, guess what they will be doing? Sony follows the money, not gamers who say the want certain games, but refuse to support them when said games are released. I have seen The last guardian, gravity rush and other smaller games that sold poorly being talked about more within the last few weeks than I have ...
The Last Guardian did outsell Shadow of the Colossus but it failed to meet expectations. Hell the game only ranked 4 in Japan and 7th in UK when it came out. Seriously the game was in development for close to 10 years, 10 years. I loved the game and was hurt to see it not performe well in sales.
Seriously many people complaining about these things don't care. They pretend to care about Japan studio now, but somehow were missing when that studio was releasing games. I supported some of their games day 1 and was always sad to hear when games such as The last guardian or gravity rush didn't sell well.
And is that surprising? I was on vacation from work, I also recently became single, I don't like going out and don't like traveling by myself. So yes, I spent over 100 hours playing a video in 10 days whiles I was on vacation.
I am done with this game, spent over 100 hours playing with friends on my trickster and literally lost everything. I cannot even load the character. I dealt with all the problems from day 1, but with this? Am done. My friends want me to keep play, but one thing is for sure, I have no intention of ever supporting this company again.
10 years from now, they will be saying Jim is going to kill Playstation any day now.
Do you seriously think Sony is going to release zero smaller games? They are shifting more resources into what has obviously worked best for them. I don't recall seeing the article claiming they will only be investigating in blockbuster games. But maybe you can provide that quote.
In fact, wanting a sequel should have nothing to do with how much spend on a game, it's simply a request. If anything it would inform Sony that people want it, and perhaps the next game would do better.
You do know this is a business and not a charity right? How much people spend on games or movies and when is extremely important and normally determines if there will be another or not. You cannot expect Sony or any other company to literally spend millions making a game...
