Seriously can you please provide me with proof Jim forced out Shawn? I would love to see where all these made up stories are coming from. If anything, Shawn was literally Jim's boss, and possibly his eventual successor. Sony changed leadership from PS3 to PS4 and now to PS5. The board of directors get to pick and fire a CEO, so I don't know how you think Jim, who was under Shawn would force him out. Anyway I look forward to you proving me wrong with your evidence.

Just because you don't see a contract doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The SEC literally has laws about crowdfunding. In 2015, the FTC settled a case against the creator of a crowdfunding project who did not keep his promises. Seriously the FTC went after someone who didn't keep their promise, about $122,000 and you think a company like MS and Double fine will not face the FTC if they void the promise that was made to backers, especially given the ...

A crowded funded game that literally and mean literally promised a PS4 version. Again many of you don't know what a contract is. Even if just 1 or 2 people invested money into this project based on the promise of a PS4 version, the company that took the money, has to honor them. Just because the game was crowded funded, does not mean MS can void the crowded funded agreement that was in place before the acquisition. The Epic game store is still on windows/PC, if they never specifically pic...

They honored the promises made by Double Fine prior to their acquisition, and that's more than what most companies would do in their position

Seriously I feel like some of you people have never heard about a contract. It's literally the law. MS has no other choice but to honor the contract that existed before the acquisition. They are not doing it because they want to, they are doing it because they have to. They can twist it by saying he chooses to honor the contra...

And as I said, it's all subjective, but given the amount of hate this game got, leading up to release, self proclaimed core gamers, review bombing a game in the thousands without playing it, less than an hour after it was released. Self proclaimed core gamers that harassed devs, sent racist anti-semitic messages, threatening them, their families and even the voice actress and her daughter, all over a made up story in a video game.

At the end of the day more people act...

Am sorry, but who are these so called core gamers you speak off? What you call criticisms are not facts, they are nothing but different opinions and will never amount to anything more than that. I will be honest with you, I spent time replying to your comment, but could not help but just laugh...so the best I can say to you is, more power to you and people who think like you

The hate for this game are just people circling the wagons. Self proclaimed core gamers and fellow ...

Given that he literally got a huge promotion from Sony after the game released, I will say they view him as a better writer than the people that say he isn't. At the end of the day, not everyone is going to like this game or any other game, but the fact that this game is currently one of the most, if not the most awarded game in history, I will say Sony was right. Personally have always enjoyed his games and looking forward to more of his work

MS does not have a choice. They can claim they will honor the contract, but in reality they have no choice but to honor the contract, unless they want to renegotiate the contract with Sony and I will bet you, Sony is going to ask for far more money than they invested in the deal.

Can you read? I literally said at no additional cost, that means you are already paying for it and you get those games without paying more in addition to what you already pay.

Be honest with yourself, would he be saying that, if they were not literally being paid to put their games on gamepass? Given that both PS plus and Xbox live has been offering free (by free i mean the monthly games you get at no additional cost) for years now, wouldn't you have expected almost every publisher to put their games on those services to sell more copies? I wonder why they only do with selected and old games?

@ Dissidia

If you would rather spend $180 a year to keep renting the games, and lose all of them the second you don't pay, more power to you.

Not everyone has money problems and some people are very comfortable paying to own their games.

I guess you will not be buying any new games from big publishers this gen then. Am interested in the PS5, have a few friends interested. How much?

Or people can spend their money as they see fit. It's understandable if $10 is difficult for you, I just find it odd some people get their feelings hurt when they see other people have no problem with her fee and are willing to buy the upgrade.

1806d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Does it hurt you that much to see people use their money to buy what they want, that you have to call them clowns? If people want to spent their money on the upgrades let them, no need to get triggered by it. You are not being forced to get it.

Maybe those on Steam prefer to buy their games, rather than rent them. Or they would rather use Steam than the MS store. (Unless gamepass is on steam, which as far as I can see isn't)

This happens all the time and it's normal. But I know a fanboy that isn't going to be happy with this. Literally a few days ago, he was talking about all the devs leaving Sony to go work for MS, because Sony isn't paying them enough, ignoring all the other MS devs who have left their studios to work for other studios.

So basically you made a claim, a lie i will say and are unable to back it up? Got it, why didn't you just say so?

@Sour

And with all that money, MS has not been able to keep all those high level devs i listed that left. I will ask you again, How many devs left during this so called exodus? Would love an estimate, with facts to back them. You made a claim and am asking you for proof, whiles also providing you with senior devs who left MS. I guess MS money was not enough to keep them.

Again the people I also listed are literally senior level roles, not some no name QA ...
