Look at the pretty, just don't look at the framerate.
It took them a while to get the weapon balance right. I remember when the assault class was useless at a range of 20m, when the medic guns took ages to kill someone, when no one knew how to handle tanks in the game. Back then, a 7/10 shooter. Right now, honestly, 8.5 for me. Just because the horses are still god damn near invincible.
Why is crossplay that important? Aren't there enough people online to play games with? Not a lot of games would even work with crossplay against PC users.
Battlefield 1. Hated the gameplay, still hate some aspects of it (vehicles), but it's grown into a good shooter.
Seems like this culminates to whether you liked the earlier ones or not. I like the 2013 game the most. Didn't care that much about Rise, care even less about this one. If I were to review it, I couldn't bring myself to go into it with enthusiasm and this is a realistic score for exactly that.
Took me a year in fragmented playthroughs to finish RoTR, I guess this one will fare about the same, if I even get it.
It's a shame what they're doing to the game, it has serious potential and I like it very much, but it seems like one part of devs are trying to bury it in the dirt, while the other half is trying to make it the best it could be.
A diamond in the rough treated like crap to push an agenda no one in their right mind even pays attention to. Shame, shame, shame...
Siege is tactical. People just don't play it tactically. Every game eventually dissolves into run and gun gameplay, no matter the tactical depth.
With you on this one.
Doubtful.
Not having a solid framerate is the single worst thing imaginable about any game. I can't stand any Battlefield game on console because of it's variable framerate. Locked 30 > variable 60, always.
That's a strange ratio. Wouldn't it be more sensible to keep a 16:9 format with the resolution?
I'd be all for it if it was possible. I enjoyed DmC way more than the others. The anime shenanigans just make me cringe. Playing through DMC4 again proved that to me.
Red Dead Redemption was a technical mess, as Rockstar themselves put it. That's the reason the game didn't get ported to PC. With their engine improved, this one just might make it to PC, but who knows.
dead space in frostbite <3
What would you want changed with GTA4?
I agree with most of the list, although there are a couple this I'd like to nitpick at this point.
1. Metal Gear Rising's graphics didn't hold up even back when it was released, let alone now. That one is more in line for a full remake in Fox engine than just a simple remaster. It looks like an early 7th gen game at best.
2. Tekken Tag Tournament 3 being developed is a better choice than remastering the old one.
3. Fallout New Vegas also more ...
I wish developers would stop with the stupid collectible items (figurines and ravens). Most annoying and pace breaking moments in any game. If I could I'd cut them out of every single game.
I call BS.
Most disappointing aspect for sure. I laughed out loud when I bought mine and found AA batteries included. Nearly returned it.
Oh come on, Sutherland did a much better job than Hayter ever did. The only thing about Hayter is that we're used to him voicing Snake.
The real issue is that Sutherland didn't have too many lines to work with.
That scene alone when you bring Quiet back to Mother Base outdid everything Hayter ever said as any Snake ever.
