probably not
25 (or lower when healing) to 40fps. Not fine. Very inconsistent.
PS4 Pro should never be the primary platform for development in any case. Just look at the poor state the Medievil Demo is in. It's performance is absolute horse crap on base model because of it.
@ElementX
Learn sarcasm.
It drops below 30 on the base console at times. They really went for that PS1 feeling there.
I wouldn't want them to do that because it would only dilute the experience and, let's be honest, Ubisoft only ever does one type of open world game.
Some things should be kept linear and focused.
I guess that means a Splinter Cell open world rpg is in the making....
Has anyone ever noticed any improvements with these day-one drivers?
They should at least set it to 90 then. I feel like i'm boxed in.
Couple of things bother me:
- Framerate is spotty at best.
- It looks like someone poured Vaseline all over my TV, walls and me. WAY too aggressive post process AA.
I just hope they improve their audio mixing and voice acting. Verhicles are too quiet compared to other sounds in the game, voice acting is pure garbage and the driving mechanics could use a lot of work. Vehicles don't feel like vehicles at all by their mechanics and sound.
In typical Disney fashion I think he is contractually obligated to say that.
Not even close. That's a generic platform icon, not RDR2 specific.
Oh so it doesn't matter if a console is the most powerful at the start of the generation AND has the best games?
What's important then? The TV apps?
Just when I'm truly interested in what they're doing with Call of Duty? Hell no.
Can't people just respect the developer's design decisions and not whine for once in their pathetic life?
Cameron Monaghan is a good actor. I have no doubt that will transfer to the hero character. Gameplay remains to be seen.
I play both BF1 and BFV in DX12 and have zero issues, my CPU performance has increased significantly (city maps in BF1 and BFV actually bottlenecked my GTX1070 @1440p under DX11), and with CPU performance being better, the overall utilization has decreased, meaning I get better temps along with better performance.
It's not a magic fix, it works differently on different configurations, and having upgraded from the 3570k to the 6700k myself, I get the same performance boo...
That issue with DICE games wasn't caused by DX12, it was a bug on Dice's side.
I have seen major improvements in DX12 in multiple games so far, especially CPU intensive games such as Battlefield.
I don't know what people expect out of DX12, but it was never meant to be something completely different to DX11, it was meant to primarily optimize CPU rendering performance. Check your CPU utilization in Battlefield 1 or V in DX11 and DX12. I get mu...
That's where the speedier bleedout time comes in.
