Somehow it looked less graphically pleasing than the E3 gameplay demo. Could just be me.
I totally forgot this is also releasing on the 360 and PS3. Even though I got a 360 just for MGSV and GTAV, but that was before either PC version was announced.
I hope to hell that, unlike Ground Zeroes, The Phantom Pain doesn't require a 360 hard drive to start the game because I have USB storage instead. Ground Zeroes doesn't allow you to install game data on the USB, so I couldn't play it. Until it was released on PC, that is.
I'd like Rising 2 to be more alike to the original version, the first one revealed at MS's press conference.
Except for the faster gameplay, MGR: Revengeance was a downgrade on all technical fronts from the original version.
It even looks worse than MGS4. The controls are also a bit weird.
It's epic, but it looks and is designed like it's for the PS2. I say keep the gameplay, up the production value and for fuck's sake, use the FOX...
Although, I do have a gripe with control being taken away from me too often. That's the biggest problem I have with Max Payne 3 and this seems like a repeat scenario.
People either love it or love to hate it, it seems. I'd still like to play it someday if I get my hands on a PS4.
This looks phenomenal, as does the Firestarter trailer. Although, to be honest, I'm looking forward to Mad Max more than Just Cause 3.
I'm curious, which CPU are you using? It must be a good i7 to utilize two 970s.
Most games actually do. Curious about why Evolve doesn't.
We already know who the dog is. The author isn't properly informed about the subject.
This here is a game that never drops below 70fps on a GTX 460 with details set to the maximum and 1920x1080.
I seriously doubt this is a good port to the next-gen consoles if it drops below 60fps. A freaking potato could run it at 60fps.
Why is Rogue bad for gaming? It's a good game. It had zero troubles at launch, unlike Unity.
Unity was also good, not great, but the backlash of launch troubles buried the game. I mean, it's not unbelievable it sold very well, it's one of the best looking games on the market. That's a major selling point at the start of a new console generation. If only it didn't run like a dead dog at launch and if only it didn't have online unlockables for singleplay...
Snake and Meryl in MGS1 > Johnny and Meryl.
Anything including Snake > everything else.
Design wise it's a step in the right direction. I mean come on, female MK9 characters had shoulders as wide as men and jawbones like Kurt Russel.
Generally speaking character design was horrible in MK9. I still laugh uncontrollably when I see Liu Kang when I play. That shit's ridiculous.
That's good news, the female characters in MK9 were way too male looking. Come to think of it, no character in MK9 is realistically proportioned.
As much as I like Hardline, I think they should slow Battlefield down, not speed it up.
Bad Company 2's tempo is where it's at.
1 is boring, trust me. 2 is better.
Yeah, it doesn't seem that demanding, but it still looks amazing.
It's a shame I can't push 60 constantly, but CryEngine at least isn't so bad under 60fps. I'll be looking to upgrade soon. The 760 went from badass to mediocre with just a couple of new games released.
If anyone was wondering, a GTX 760 @ 1250MHz gets 40-60fps on Very High + SMAA @ 1080p. Tested it myself.
No, the reason the increase on AMD cards is so big is that they don't do so well in DX11 when it comes to draw calls. I experienced it first hand. Nvidia drivers just have a lower overhead than AMD drivers.
Check StarSwarm benchmarks for proof. AMD cards needed Mantle to be on par or slightly faster than Nvidia cards in DX11.
But that was the most boring part of AC.
