Reading many of the comments here, and the comments on many articles like this, I have to wonder why people have such an emotional investment in this topic? Every platform this generation is successful when it comes to sales. The install base is there for developers to be able to make money regardless of which platform they develop for.
So what do we, as gamers, generally do? We devolve into crowing over which platform is *more* successful. Like it really matters. Nobody gets...
Script kiddies who launch DDOS attacks, not hackers, making demands. Nice.
Caveat emptor, my friend. They can only take what I'm willing to give them.
It was before that. All Microsoft bought was a remnant.
I was hoping for another Kameo, too. Not sure why people call the first one garbage. I guess if it doesn't involve mindless running around and shooting some people just don't get it.
Sony.com is taking forever to load and Playstation.com won't load for me at all. Sony appears to still be under attack.
There's always going to be a group who thinks that every corporation is anti-consumer. This kind of action never evokes the kind of response that resolves anything, though. It just makes things worse for the rest of us who don't have a beef.
I hate being caught in the middle.
The crashes and takedowns are my favorite features of Burnout. Give me a new Burnout and I'm a happy guy. The more crashes the better.
Excitement++;
So who has the super-awesome technology that watches for every single new device that connects to the whole Internet and catalogs it by type for reporting purposes? Can they tell how often it connects and from where?
I want to know so that I can invest in the company that can simplify such a complicated problem. That data has to be a goldmine.
So much anecdotal reasoning.
Is there really any evidence of "millions of defunct units" related to RROD? No doubt there are people who gave up on it, but when mine got RROD I sent it to Microsoft and got it fixed for free. I would expect that most people would do the same thing instead of flushing the money. Do you also subscribe to the theory that Microsoft was double-counting RROD refurbs as new sales, which there's no evidence of, either?

GameStop owns stores in several countries in Europe. So they have a stake in European sales. Not sure what's so funny.
Every player is successful by now, which is good for all of us.
How would they know?
I'll sign up. But if it bricks my 360 I'm gonna be upset.
If you commit murder in Chicago then they don't put you on trial wherever they arrest you. The extradite you to Chicago. That's what Hotz is asking for, to have the case sent back to New Jersey.
I bet he's wishing that he'd never publicly released that information. Yeah, he got the credit for it. And now he has to take responsibility for it. I don't feel sorry for him in the least.
It will be interesting to see what the judge says concern...
Ok, I'll take a copy now.
The PS4 won't have 32GB RAM. The chip they're talking about can handle up to 32GB RAM because it is built to run in a blade server. My guess would be 4GB or less due to cost.
Too bad that's a statistic we'll never really know. I know there was an article the other day where some outfit said they knew how many were active. And there were people saying it's easy to tell because "all you have to do is just" scan the internet for MAC addresses and you'll know. Too bad those people don't live in reality, because there's really no reliable way to do that and not every console is connected to the internet.
But I digress....
