Both Nintendo and Sony have monopolized generations with the SNES and the PS2 and they arguably produced some of the best games. On the other hand we saw a glimpse at what MS tried to do with X1. So I will gladly welcome Sony take the lead if it means more games and diversity.
Bring back Crash Bandicoot, I hope this game sells well so that other developers see that their is still a market and demand for these types of games. Insomniac stepped their game up the game looks awesome.
MS has no direction when it comes to X1 unless they are planning a full force push on PC next gen. All the other moves they are making are puzzling to me as far as their console presence is concerned it should be troubling if you own an X1. Fanboys are rejoicing I frankly don't care but it's interesting to see the MS strategy moving forward.
Some people can't seem to get it threw their heads that they cater to different demographics. If you build your own PC and constantly upgraded it is safe to assume you have disposable income and can afford the oculus rift, for everyone else that wants to try VR Sony has an option at a much more affordable price assuming it will be less expensive than the rift which I believe it will.

Honestly do you really believe that EA didn't put pressure on DICE to have it ready to coincide with the release of the movie? Publishers heavily influence the development of games, Battlefront could have had a single player mode but it didn't why? It could have had a story but it didn't why? Nintendo has chosen to separate themselves for better or worse. I have come to believe they will live or die by their own hand. I don't think that third party developers will ever fully back Nintendo ever again because they need to be convinced that they will sell enough hardware to make profit from their software. This seems to be harder to do with each console they release with the exception of the Wii so I am skeptical but look forward to seeing what Nintendo has to offer.
I don't think developers are lazy it's just that publishers are just to greedy. If people don't know EA's track record by now then it's their own fault for buying a game that lacks features that earlier installments included. Publisher hold all the cards so to speak because they have the money they will continue to further draw the line until consumers stop buying into what they are doing.

LOL MS is complicating their message good luck going up against PC. Who in their right mind is going to want to upgrade a console vs building a rig that is more versatile. Making their exclusives available on PC was the beginning of the end, so what is the reason to own an xbox? Another issue is weather developers will get behind this what games will run with what specs? MS is opening a can of worms that they won't be able to deliver in the long run.

Expectations vs reality more than it being a bad game which it is not because it is mechanically sound game, it is a representation of the current state of gaming. How do you review a game that is not finished? The whole development and review process is broken, and people that pre order games are part of the problem. Some developers are taking advantage of the good will and name that some games have to make money.

Personally the MGS series is what made keep playing video games, I had been a Nintendo gamer but when I first played MGS it made me realize what games could be. It had a more interesting story arc's that had previously been explored in games and it changed the way I saw video games and that is something that continues to have an impact on so many games even now.

This review is BS just because it is lacking in content it does not make it a bad game. Should it lose points for the lack of modes yes but this score is compering it to games that are pretty much flawed in their mechanics or unplayable. People complaining about unfinished games are the same one's buying them at this point there are to many examples to mention them. Some people are part of the problem not the solution stop pre ordering games until developers start delivering finished game...
This is a horrible move for X1 but a good move for MS to sell more software or at least that's the idea. I guess all you can do is wait and see how this exclusive console game going to PC will affect the X1 potential hardware sales.
