It's called the 360 which I own 2 of and never had a single issue. And once again the proof in the pudding is the 360 gets the better version and this is coming from a PS3 to 360 "port" so it doesn't really matter which way the games go they always end up better on the 360. The truth hurts..
For bringing this article to everyones attention. I just find it funny how 3/4 of the posts in this thread are from PS3 owners who have no vested interest in the 360 beyond bashing it. All I can say is enjoy it, because it's going to come back at you 10 fold..

Where things are so ridiculous the games don't even have to be similar in gameplay. I'm just sitting back and waiting till these 2 titles are released and then we will see who gets more sales and a better reception. For me, I will take a game that contains both a SP campaign and MP over a MP only game anyday. I didn't get to beta Warhawk so I can't say much about it but the buzz is good.

This is from some retail manager "of a large chain of stores". Even when asked today by Joystiq Sony responded we haven't announced any price cuts. All the Sony PR up to this point has said that $600 is a value already.
It will be interesting at E3.. But everyone in this thread sounds a bit desperate when you make it sound like this is an official price cut from Sony.
I don't see how anyone can see this as an official price cut. Read the latest blog entry on Joystiq and you will see Sony is denying it as well. This is simply to move out inventory.
I don't know whether to look at this as a bad, like CC is so desperate to move PS3 hardware that they will take a loss on it.. Or that it could be a sign that Sony is giving way to a price cut. I will be listening intently at E3.

The problem has been corrected. They added a new second heat sync and are afixing the GPU and CPU to the mobo more securely. I would think the last thing MS wants to do is a recall.
It is not covered by the 3 year warranty. But if you have the 3 Red Lights anytime for the next 3 years it will be covered.
This is great news that MS is stepping up and admitting some problems. I don't see much else they could do? He didn't sound like he was sugar coating it, he said the hardware failure rate was "unacceptable". Sounds about right.. Nice job MS!

Sony has not been keen on a price-cut. They first came out and denied it and then said it's always a possibility..
It's like they keep releasing the same type of screen shots over and over.. What is up with that background?? It's always some unrealistic looking blocky rock textures.. For as long as this game has been in development I guess I'm expecting more. Hopefully they will have a good showing at E3.
I will give you that.. It was stupid of MS not to make an HDD the defacto standard, especially since they did with the Xbox1. See things done the right way? I don't know what you mean by that when the 360 seems to score better when it comes to games and it doesn't have an HDD. I really hope Lair is great and we will all know soon.
