and I completely agree with you Madden. Some of the worst camera control I've ever seen and the human characters and car models look absolutely horrible. The destructable environments are nice and I do like the robot melee battles, but that hardly makes up for all that is lacking in this game. I am so glad that Xbox dev's don't spout of stupid nonesense like this.. When this game can match the graphic qualities of something like Gears of War or Rainbow Six Vegas then maybe they have some validity.. It's so easy to say crap like this before anyone has seen your game.. I've played the last SOCOM and it wasn't jaw-dropping gorgeous or doing anything that special. This game was announced before the PS3 even launched.. Is the hold up because they had to get the PS3 version finished? I guess I always thought this was a 360 exclusive... Looks dumb anyway, tons of CGI and hack'n slash gameplay like most Square stuff on the PS.. You can definately keep this game and all the FF crap... Square just doesn't make games I enjoy.. Have fun "earning" your exclusives why I'm playing them on the 360 Jack! I'm sure if you were to look at some of these exclusives, especially for the PS3 you will find some subsidizing to the developers. I know if I was a dev house and making a great game and Sony wanted it exclusively I would expect some compensation since the fanbase is not that large and would affect my bottom line.

a big preview in the last issue of Xbox Magazine, where they showed gameplay for the 360 version. I don't even think it's "leading on the PS3".. This is nonsense. The 360 has already seen a demo almost a year ago, but it was not well received so they did a complete redux of the game.

I see them at every store I go to? Some places have stacks of them. The Wii is like the White Rhino, haven't seen one on a store shelf since launch.. There is enough supply to easily meet demand of the PS3 so I don't know if this is in relation to them doing a price drop or some horrible attempt at pretending there is some huge demand that they can't keep up with (ala the Wii).

I have the 360 version of The Darkness, been playing it for hours and it is one smoothe playing game. Absolutley zero slow-down, no framerate issues or AA issues. Makes it sound like the PS3 version has more problems.
The game is fantastic.. Great story, great acting and is one of the few games that really feels like your playing a movie. Starbreeze rocks! I can't wait to see their new Chro...
But I agree you have to respect Sony on pushing the envelope. I really think the PSP is an amazing piece of tech both functional and sexy.. Same with the PS3.. And Sony has been in this game a long time and they will shine, just maybe not as bright as past generations.
