Does that mean you - gasp! - modified your XBOX360!?!?
Watch out for the banhammer, mate! Microsoft has eyes everywhere... ;)
I have even more respect for the guy now!
Hmm..Cody = Call Of DutY?
We know about Zelda...is there a video game character called Zak?
This is why you should never jump the gun just to get a head start on your competition. Things get rushed, problems arise, and you'll be taking two steps back for every step forward. You'll be further ahead while your opponent is still warming up; but you'll also burn out a lot faster.
Then, when you're out of breath and struggling to keep going, the guys with the 10-year plan will catch up and politely steamroll your butt into the dirt.
^_^
It isn't unbreakable by modders - it's that there's no good reason to bother. Like trying to reinvent the wheel. I can understand modding 360s though; the temptation to try and fix it yourself after the nth breakdown must be overwhelming.
As for piracy: the principle is the same as Macs and PCs. Macs are rarely hacked because PC is the dominant brand. If/when PS3 gets a bigger install base than 360...it'll get hacked.
"You Can Now Unban Your Xbox 360 Thanks To Modders"
(This is a highly complex process which relies on a number of free tools and in doing this you may be breaking more laws than you already have. YourEMGN does not recommend this process in any form.)
LMFAO
Wow...that title clashes a bit with the disclaimer, doesn't it?
Well...if you're so pissed at Microsoft for the way they run their business, take yours somewhere else and buy a PS3 or a Wii. You don't need to mod a PS3 - this thing is already a beast and you can switch out the HDD any time you please with a minimum of effort. And you WON'T get banned for it.
Big business will always do whatever it wants. If you don't like it, the consumer's option is to let their money do the talking. If enough folks take their money elsewhere, then the c...
If you want to mod a console (for whatever reason), void your warranty and risk being banned; get a separate one explicitly for that purpose. If you're that much of a mod-hound, you can probably afford it.
Never mess around on your home ground. Simple.
EDIT:
1.18, I'm looking at you...
It was slow out of the gate, lagging behind everyone else; and few people 'got it'.
But of course, Sony hit their stride a couple years in and now they're wowing everyone again. Good for them - I look forward to seeing more folks on PSN this Christmas.
I am sooo tired of hearing this nonsense regurgitated over and over.
God forbid anyone should ever have to learn anything new; they might actually have to put some genuine effort into making their games, instead of slapping them together on the ancient PC hardware standard and then porting them to consoles for an insultingly high markup.
So would someone turn off Valve? It's leaking all over the floor.
Sorry - is this a developer I should care about? I'm a little busy playing all the amazing PS3 games I have, so I haven't really paid much attention to mediocre companies living off old successes...
I really enjoyed the original Shadowrun on Sega Genesis and it BURNS that we've lost any possibility of a next-gen remake.
Grrr. I wonder what the cyberspace screens were like?
Thanks Nintendo, that's exactly what we need. Training dummies for teen pregnancy.
"After all it’s all about the sales and profits in the end.."
Really? Here I thought it was about enjoying great games, and all this time I should've been focusing on the sales figures and profit margins.
Silly me.
It's pretty much guaranteed.
She as much said they're focusing on something one of 'em pitched that would top the train...which says they're still referring to the Uncharted franchise and what to do for the next one. Ergo: Uncharted 3 - three times as awesome as Uncharted 2!
I dunno, would you stop on the first sequel if the IP was selling ridiculously well?
And Ballmer let it slip a lil' too early so they spun his comments with a 'clarification'.
Bets? Anyone? Let the agrees/disagrees fly...but if you lose, you owe me a bubble. ;)
..honestly, I stopped listening pretty quick after the 11th shout-out. I was hoping for some concise, accurate information; silly me to expect that from HipHopGamer.
This is why I prefer print news over vlogs.
Bob...I can't tell you how much I'm hoping for Mass Effect to go multi-platform. I'm still pissed that a decent KOTOR-style RPG hasn't come out for PS3.
Well written. A refreshing change from the so-called arguments that usually fly around the newsroom.
I'd have said MS would come back with a 'Slim' of their own, but this guy makes a good point about resource allocation. Besides...the 360 has enough SKUs already.
For gaming and porn apps, PC is still the king - for everything else, there's Mac.
I don't mind paying a little more for quality hardware. That's why I have a PS3, and it's why I have a Mac.
Because life's too short to spend it on the phone with tech support.
..Yet, you mean. lol.
