The game was always on my list but this is solidifying my choice. I’m not surprised though. The dev has already proven that they make quality games.
I don't know why someone would disagree with your comment. How is this not a good move? This would even have some gamers who have already played the game on PS buy it again for PC to enjoy those extra features. It's a beautiful, fun game.
“ Exclusivity is the only thing that forces people to choose a console over the other. I wouldn’t own three consoles if all games were on every console.”
A lot of people want to act like ‘exclusive’ is an ugly word now. If you are trying to entice consumers to buy your console over the competition, you first need exclusive titles (or features) to do so, bottom line. That’s what Nintendo and PlayStation are doing successfully and it shows in console sales. Xbox would have so...
“If you want PVP play Call of Duty…”
I was getting ready to comment with the same suggestion. There are plenty of competitive PVP games out there for gamers to play. Keep HD2 strictly PVE.
This is good news. I was afraid that my level 482 character was going to be over-leveled for the DLC.
That’s my type of game lol
You might not care about cheating in a PVE game but many other people do. Especially if it’s a team-based game. Read the article for first-hand accounts of other people who felt that it ruined the experience for them.
Cheating in a PVE game is so pathetic. Why even bother playing the game? That’s like cheating while playing Solitaire.
Yep, I said that they wouldn’t have it running at 120 fps on PS5 without making sure it was the same for XSX. That would have been a dummy move.
Got to make a dent in my backlog as well, and I don’t play games when they first release so this will just get added to my wishlist for a later purchase
That’s about $4620 lol
If true, then they will also update it to run at 120 fps on the Series X at least. I don't see Xbox allowing 120 fps on the PS5 while Series X/S sit at 60 fps.
'Pay to Win' if players want to get the strongest guns and equipment faster simply because they want to successfully complete missions easier. But as Fluke_Skywalker said, it's not providing players with an unfair advantage over other players, so it's not 'Pay to Win' in the traditional sense of phrase. It's the kind of GaaS game that I typically don't mind where you can still earn the same items just by playing the game, only at a slower pace.
Just because the console market is not growing, that doesn't mean that it is not a viable market anymore. When new consoles drop, that 200 million potential buyers and that is a damn good market number as far as a hardware manufacturer is concerned. Xbox is just doing a bad job at trying to get those consumers to invest in their console(s).
Have you started dreaming about it also? That happens to me sometimes when I first get into a game and I'm really loving it. I'll start having dream snippets of being in the game world.
You kinda have to have the possibility for a sequel of a successful title. It’d be fiscally irresponsible to shut down the possibility if you have investors.
The devs mentioned they were working towards that actually. I guess they didn’t plan on the game being this successful initially.
It’d be even better if it was a sequel 😳
I'm skipping the demos and waiting for the full game release, but I love the confidence the devs have in the game and the access they are providing to the fans pre-release.
Nah I think it’s just finding the correct equilibrium. We see these phases throughout many industries. In this case, we’re seeing the re-adjustment after the COVID boom where the industry grew due to many people staying at home more and looking for stuff to keep them busy.
The industry will refocus, adapt, and continue. It’s worth billions of dollars and will not be easily abandoned.
