People love to compare games that have nothing to do with each other for some reason. I remember the incessant comparison of Breath of the Wild and Horizon Zero Dawn.
I always expect it, but I don’t remember anyone ‘hoping’ for it. Any particular reason you want a game launch to fail? Just to teach gamers what lesson in particular?
Deluxe editions are only worth it to me if they provide extra mission or story DLC. I’m not interested if it’s only items or cosmetics.
Seems to me that that could be a very risky acquisition, simply because I keep expecting Nintendo to file some type of cease-and-desist order. You could argue that Nintendo would have done so already if they were ever going to, so maybe they don’t think they would win that action in court I guess.
I’m surprised by the number of gamers that appear to be turned off by this. This is great news for me as I generally prioritize side quests anyway. It seems to me that if you wanted to avoid a bad outcome just don’t take on too many side quests. Grab one, complete it and return to the quest giver (if required). Then just grab the next one.
In my example to you, I used two PS5 games coming out. Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade. Nothing 'older generation' about those games. Sure you can wait and maybe eventually get news about those coming out on PC. But for those who don't want to wait for a 'maybe PC' date, how will they get to play those games if they don't purchase a PS5? If YOU aren't interested in those games, that's cool. But guaranteed there will be plenty of others who want to play the...
I'll pose a simple, relevant scenario to your question "what's the point of consoles?" Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade are two anticipated PS5 titles that, at this time, do not have publicly-released plans to launch on PC. So if someone wanted to really play those games right now and did not yet have a PS5, they would need to buy one to play them. That is what a console manufacturer is going for. I've bought the original Xbox to play Halo, I bought a 360 to play Ge...
It's as simple as that, but some want to keep flaming the console wars because...
It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. The User agreements that everyone basically accepts without reading gives manufacturers and devs these rights to alter software and hardware functions at their discretion. Also, we see these types of control over other personal things we own such as cars, homes, etc, at least in the U.S. Just pointing out that this has been going on for a long time and is really nothing new.
Might give it a try if it ever gets added to the monthly ‘free’ PS Plus Essentials offering someday.
It’s funny to me how the character’s body is getting more buzz than the actual gameplay. Maybe I’m just too old LOL.
If a company is trying to push their consoles, then exclusive titles are a must. That’s why PS and Nintendo are killing it in their console sales. PS still has exclusives for a while before they are dev’d for PC, and that timeline is becoming shorter these days. I personally think that’s a winning formula for pushing both hardware and software, rather than releasing day one on PC. You’ll always have consumers who’ll want to play the game as soon as possible rather than wait for an arbitrary ...
I’m sure some of the 10 million purchasers of Ghost are not happy it’s going to PC. Some people are just like that. My question was just more wondering why that is. It’s not as if it takes away the fun that you had with the game. It just simply comes down to being petty I think.
I could understand it more if it was released on PC the same day or even close to the original PS release date. You’d like to think that was the reason that you invested in buying PS, to play their ‘exclusive’ games. But I would think 3 or 4 years is long enough to make you feel ‘special’. It shouldn’t take away your love or enjoyment of the game because PC gamers will be able to enjoy it now.
The original game came out almost 4 years ago, and the Directors Cut was released almost 3 years ago. Why do some PS fans hate that this is coming to PC?
In my opinion, this is a good way to build more of a fan base in preparation for the sequel.
Dude, I was agreeing with you regarding your focus on Sony because I could see someone coming at you for that. I know you have to keep your keyboard warrior skils tight but calm down some.
I guess they’ll release the complete edition sometime next year.
“Are you gonna pretend Sony hasn't had any trouble as of late?”
The entire industry is having ‘trouble’ lately but I get that since this company is directly linked to Sony that’s why you specified them.
It’s on my wishlist but likely it’ll be about a year before I get around to buying it. Already in serious backlog and there are a bunch of other games up next up to bat.
