I remember playing this back in the day.
I may have to pick this one up, as I never did get to the end of it.

Yeah, I don't really want to go through the trouble of delting one game, just so I can play another...then months later, I have to download the first game again if I want to play it again.

Even with a large drive, it will fill up at some point.
I don't mind if the option to download it is there, and I may even use it now and then...but I still want the option.

While I get your point and games like halo, Mario and Uncharted might never see another platform (except PC for halo maybe)....I can't help but notice Sonic the hedgehog runing round on other platforms after Sega no longer had a platform.

If the devs/publishers still see money in creating these IPs even when the platform they are exclusive to is gone.... then there is always a chance this will happen.

Sony invests a lot into their software studios, so it&...

I've been sitting on the fence deciding if it was worth my while buying this service since it first came out.
Not because it wasn't value for money, but because these days I don't have the time to take advantage of it.
Now with the discount and downloading RDR, infamous2 & Borderlands, it's finally pushed me over the edge.

Still not sure where I'm going to find the time to play all these games...unless I start ignoring the wife.

Sounds to me that it works like this.

If you like shooters or playing on line then Xbox is the one.

If you like a selection of games and enjoy single player then your better off with Playstation.

For the sake of this argument, if you like games, then you really need a PS3 because that has nearly all the games Xbox has, the on line play for free and all the extra IPs you wouldn't get on xbox.

It's ok for girls to do it because the a) the guy usually likes it b) the guy is usually bigger and can walk away if not interested.

If a guy does it to a girl, it's a lot more scary for her because you have a much stronger person trying to over power you and it's usually worse than a little bit of flirting.

Flirting is fine, it's just when the guy or girl does not take no for an answer.

Wipeout was one of the first games to come out when the PS3 started and one of the first downloadable.
It was also one of the first to use 3D when it was updated later on.
Sony Liverpool really did their bit to push the playstation brand and get in there to use the latest tech, so it is really sad to see them go.
I really think Sony has made the wrong decision here and can only hope that their going to use the talent in Sony Liverpool to make new companies or backup th...

That is the best news I've had all year.

I remember the old days when WWF came on the TV in New Zealand years and years ago.
Many a cloths line and powerdrive was delivered on a kid after that.
Kids if young enough will try and replicate what they see, so I do think parents need to control what they have access to.

Yeah, how did that work out for you when the game first came out?

With less people needing to make the investment to get the hardware, it will be easier to sell more games.
While I perfer to use my own console because then I don't have to worry about line speed and when they decide to pull a game off the system.
I can see the benefits of doing this to bring new people in who normally don't have a console.

Your forgetting the gaming is a world wide industry.
While places like the US, Japan and Even the UK in some places will be able to handle the traffic from streaming games.
Most places it the world are still very limited if they have any connection at all.

I'm sure Sony will be building on such services in future to stay in the game and offer many services, but there will still be a console for many years to come while it's still cost effectve to conti...

Actually this year for Sales of home entertainment, computer games have passed Hollywood films in market share.
Not sure if Music as well.

This is why these people who have done film for years are starting to review games.

The question is, do they review it because they know it's the latest mark...

It's this part of the life cycle is where Sony investment will start to pay off.
Towards the end of the cycle it gets harder and harder to squeeze the last little bit of power out of the processor.
So while the Cell is harder to program for, there is more there so that when the 1st party companies get to work with and push it that little bit further.

Only downside of that was being harder, the 3rd parties couldn't quite keep the same standard as the ea...

@T900.

Actually, PS3 was delayed from release for about a year due to licencing issues with the BlueRay...so yeah, it was year old tech when it came out.

But I'm more than happy if they hold off as long as possible before releasing the next gen.
1. because I don't have to buy a new console.
2. They are still bring out plenty of great games for this Gen.

While PC games in a lot of cases may have better graphics, their n...

I think their talking about the Next next Generation.

5133d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

I hope their talking about quantity of games and not the quantity of the content.

There used to be a lot of content, and thats what made it quality.
You can't make Role playing games and take out half the contact, because then the world will just seem empty.

@ Kinect.

You hope he fails.

Why?

If he fails, then there will be less games to play.
If he is successful, but you don't like the game...don't buy them...it's that easy.

But what if he is successful, and then produces a game you like.

Maybe you would like to think these things through before making comments in the future.

Oh man...I've already spent 150 + hours playing this game and am on my 2nd play through.
Looks like it will be taking up even more of my time.

It's all fine using the online DRM internet until one day your internet has stopped working.
Either you ISP has gone down or you've moved house and won't have internet for 2 weeks.
See how you feel about it then.

Plus the game will just get hacked and people will be playing pirated versions anyway...so it was all for nothing. Usual case of punishing the innocent while the guilty get away free.
