Why waste a sh1t load of money developing a console when you have Sony and Microsoft doing it for you.
It would be nice if EA could get their own house in order first before they start trying to add to it again.
We've already had the reports from them admitting that they screwed up the last couple of mergers by changing the culture of these companies.
I hope their not planning to buy companies till they get it right.
This game is looking pretty good.
I'm kind of glad its that late in the year because I'm having a hard enough time getting through all the games I have now, little lone what coming out through out the year.
I could do with one of those badgers while walking down Oxford St.
If their finishing GTAIV on it now and are in the process of making LA Noire for the PS3, by the time GTAV comes round they should be pretty good with the PS3 programming by then.
GTAV is a long way off, so who knows...I wouldn't expect R* will know yet unless they have made a deal with Sony.
We already know LA Noire is exclusive, so it wouldn't be too much of a surprise if the next GTA becomes exclusive under the same deal.
At the very least, the PS3 becoming the lead console to develop on has some merit...but we'll just have to file this into the wait and see folder.
Rendering real life is the ultimate test to see how well the engine runs by comparing it to what we see as real life.
Making a fantasy image is not a true test as anyone can leave an effect out like transparency or reflectiveness or haze out of the image and because its fantasy no one will notice and the image will still look cool.
But if you left these effects out of a real life emulation, then things would not look right and the holes in the engine would show up. Thats why its...
I would say this technology will be ready to go mainstream around the time Blueray is ready to go out in about 10 years time.
Its at the test stage now, then when it goes into production it'll only be businesses that will be able to afford it at first and then as it becomes more established and the hardware has been paid for will the cost come down for when the public will get access to it....so yeah, I'd give it 10 - 15 years.
I've only just got DMC4 and UT3 here in the UK....if this is a slow month, I'd hate to see a busy one.
fact is if you buy a PS3, then you can buy American made games.
And its the games that produce the money and profit for all the companies including the console creaters.
Besides, when does throwing more money into Bill Gates Cash mountain help anyone in the US. it all just goes to the share holders who just sit on it and say see how rich I am.
Put the money in the bank and save it.
Use it to pay off dept or part of your mortgage.
Try to reduce the interest accumulating you any debts you have, and if you don't have dept, then bank it or invest it.
The problem these days is with a consumer society everyone keep pressuring you to buy stuff you don't really need.
You want to help your country to move forward, then don't be a burden on it. look after your own finances.
There are two things needed to really make downloads sales take off...
1. Fast broadband 25mps+ standard in most countries.
2. cheaper storage, and mean a lot of storage.
Average drives these days can very be between 350GB to 1TB. the average person (non IT people) hasn't invested that much money into these drives and probably don't think they need it yet. Also, what are the devices that you can download into...your Xbox 360??...look how much you have to pay for...
Its more like Promises and takes a while to deliver.
They have promised a lot, but so far with things like Blueray and the games, that are just starting to hit the mark now.
Home will come out, hopefully sooner rather than later...but I'd rather they perfected it first before sending it out so we don't have issues like PS3 crashing or losing achievements, that sort of thing.
Which country is it that their laying the cables down in?
People keep forgetting its a world market...even in the US if fiber optic cable was run to everyones home tomorrow...how does that effect the other people in the world???
Whatever the percentage of online traffic is downloaded movies, I can guarantee that most of that is illegal copies. And their not downloading them for the quality of picture either, its because its free. DVDs have better quality than d...
And they need to catch them before they go out and buy the $50 HD-DVD add-on.
"not as innovative as other Sony products"... I don't think i've come across this one before.
Putting the cell and Blueray together was a really good idea, and the new services coming together on PSN...there is a lot of ground to cover, buy they are catching up fast.
It said 40% in the title but no indication of where, when or how to get it in the Body of the Email.
Its a wonder that they get any work done in that place.
I down loaded this and Everyday shooter last night....problem was I spent all of last night playing everyday shooter...so tonight I better give this one a go.
Odd thing is Sony is a hardware company, so why would they get another company to make the parts for them.
The only part Toshiba is dealing with is the Cell, and that was designed and built before the factory was sold to Toshiba so the production was already there for them to just keep running.
It could be worse...it could be a software company that has to outsource all their hardware parts to different companies to get the console built.
