Only problem with it was there already a product out there called the Orange Box....people might get a little upset if their parents going out and come home with the wrong box.

I paid for my game, and its not cheap either....I end up paying £40 - £50 for the thing.
I've given the money for the product, therefore I've paid for its production. Now I know you can say because of the increasing costs of making games, this will bring in extra income for the developers....and that maybe true.
But the thing is if you buy something like a car, again you pay the cost of the production of the car. How would you feel if you got the car and there is a Coca...

It all depends on how much of your viewing time their going to try and take up.
Something in the back ground in the open area of Home I'd be fine with. But if they try shoving a short film ad like the ones you get at the start of some game site clips and I'll start to get pissed off.
Trick is, don't go cutting into my game time with this, as I play games to escape the real world and don't need these ads creeping in to my escape.

The Wii has made a lot of ground on the 360, but I think with the limits of number of units they can build it has held back the numbers.
Although I think its very nearly passing very soon.

I could be considered a Playstation fan, but I really don't know where all this stuff about 360 being dead is coming from.
Last time I checked, there were still more units out there than either the PS3 and even the Wii.
Its head start gave it a lead for sure, but games are still coming out for it and there is a large user base out there.
As long as MS keep supporting their product, then they can enjoy many years of enjoyment for the future, and this in turn will keep Sony an...

No one "Needs it" in the same way no one Needs a TV....but its nice to have.

I have a 32" Sony Bravia...and I can see the difference.
Its well worth it. Even older films like Full Metal Jacket and Enter the Dragon look great. I'm up to 7 films in the BlueRay collection now.

That was exactly what I was going to say.

The great thing about the PS3 line up with diversification.
Theres something in there for everyone...see, even TheMart likes one game in the lineup.
So its the way to go if you want more selection than just First or Third person shooters.

You can see by how well the Wii is selling that people (non typical gamers)are more attracted to the Wiis controller. So I can see what Phil is getting at from a business point of view.
Problem is, how do you take buttons away?
All the games use all the buttons...you keep adding features and the devs will keep adding more things to do with them.
An example of that is the sixaxis. it has all the same buttons as previous generations of controllers, but rather that the deve...

and Wii sports.

6702d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Both of you have good points.
Its the sports licences thats been EAs bread and butter for a while now and where it gets a lot of its money for buying up all the companies its been getting lately.
So in order to get the full set, its now brought out the competition.
As for GTA being the gravy...lets just say they are swimming in gravy.

They will run out of stock at some point.
but hopefully it'll be the customers refusing to buy them that will stop them pushing their old stock on to people.

You really must be grasping at straws here to hold this game up as an example of your console is better that the other.

Its obvious that the people who made this game were running a bit short on talent, so why be surprised if they couldn't port it either.

Phil has been part of the company for years and it was last year was the hard one for the playstation brand, things are looking up now so hes leaving on a high note. So its unlikely that he leaving because of any shows.

Toshiba is a business, its not a fan boy...so it goes where the money is.
If they sit there and sulk then they will miss the opportunity to get their name out there as builders of BlueRay players.
Being last in will only hurt them.
