Not all games, it depends pretty heavily on the title at the moment. Hitman for instance bumps up several elements visually, Battlefield has seen a bump visually in more than just resolution, so did IW. I've been pleased with the Pro enabled titles, and that's on a 1080p tv.
Also, I can clearly see the improvement in Anisotropic Filtering in those shots. But you know, you keep disparaging people for spending their money how they want.
Art style, what does it mean?
Just because Overwatch isn't going for a photo real look, doesn't mean it's not a phenomenal looking game. Also games like Overwatch of Team Fortress 2 get huge boosts to the overall look of the game with a higher resolution.
Because if I was a Japanese console player, I wouldn't look at the software output on the PS2 and 3 versus the OG Xbox and 360 and make a decision from there.

The down sampling while not as apparent as the 4k image buffer, still creates a sharper image on 1080p screens. Games like Hitman and BF1 are already using higher quality assets regardless of display, TR shows benefits for both 1080p and 4k owners, CoD IW has higher quality particle effects and lighting with a pro.

You're listing some things that don't really matter, Bravely Default was still a phenomenal game with or without the bikini outfits.
I'm not saying they were right, but it's their decision when they localize. The idea that Xenoblade Chronicles X suffered in ANY way due to people whining about a boob slider is a real shame.

Regardless of what the base does, having a direct feed of power and not needing to worry about portability they could easily clock the switch up while it's charging. They already do this with laptops.
Super sampling or down sampling does eliminate shimmer and aliasing. TF2 looks super clean at 1080p.

On the PC I would NEVER think a version of a game would have its own MP community based on place of purchase. Thats insane and not something you've ever seen widely on the PC. For instance the Steam version of Q3 is the same as my disk version, they connect and operate identically.

Maybe you're new to the whole PC thing, but typically the multiplayer doesn't run into purchasing platforms being separated communities. I would absolutely assume sight unseen that the Steam and Windows Store versions would connect to the same MP server.
This isn't a responsibility thing, this is how the PC has been forever. This isn't "it runs poorly on my system" or "I don't like it"; this is a needlessly gimped version of the game....

The CAD prices on PSVR are insane, they also don't make sense. The headsets 399 in USD 549 in CAD, the Pro is 399 USD and 499 CAD.

There was nothing redeemable about Aiden, he gets his Niece killed then drags his Sister and Nephew into his poorly thought out revenge and gets them both kidnapped. Everything is Aidens fault and he just mopes about it while going deeper in.
