Killzone 2 doesn't have tanks, APC, Humvee, Heli's, planes and other little vehicles. It doesn't have any of the things that Battlefield brings to the table. The same can be said of Resistance, oh and not even an hour ago I got off MAG I had been playing with my clan. MAG does not even approach Battlefield 3, neither does Resistance 2 and in terms of MP Killzone 3 gets a boot to the head.
What "RedDragon" seems to forget is that the games that do cut corners for larger player counts (MAG and Resistance 2) usually end up just being skipped over for their visuals anyways. How many times have the words "BLANK looks like a PS2 game."?
Oh and FYI, in 2005 Battlefield 2 looked amazing for what it was doing. The same as Battlefield 1942 looking gorgeous in 02, and having maps that were just huge. Space enough for a Player controller AC 130 on El A...
The fog of war will probably limit how far you can move, the maps will have to be limited in size.
When phones have more memory and are even starting to get dual core processors...yeah you can see the age in the consoles.
People don't seem to get that MAG is far from a visual powerhouse, it's numbers are irrelevant when you look at all the concessions made to get it to run!

There were 128+ player mods for Tribes, as well as a more often then not forgotten Sony MMOFPS Planetside that did more then MAG in every way possible. The PC has had opportunities for large scale warfare long before the consoles were online.
On the topic of MAG, with the exception of the end of round in Domination most of the teams are very split. Most of the maps actually have fences or cliffs separating the platoons.

lol, there were parts of Killzone 3 that reminded me of a 9 year old game (Medal of Honor Allied Assault) So you really aren't to far off in your assessment.
Did everyone like the part where you crouched in grass to sneak by the Helghan during the "Stealth" mission? Yeah the thin strip of grass that wasn't clearly your route around them. It just felt even more ridiculous that I was supposed to believe the Helghan wouldn't notice some guy CROUCHING through a thin band of grass.

Zenith, you still cant argue that the Console version will be half the game the PC version will be. If you want the real Battlefield you want it on the PC. I think that might have been what he meant, just poorly worded.
MS does the same thing, holding demo's from Silver users for the gold members. What they both do is unacceptable, and the state of the demo is absolutely disappointing.
