I love my 360 and I think that achievement points are great. But this is just idiotic.
The long pause after the achievement question is great.
The reporter showed some balls by flat out telling him that achievements make the difference for him. Harrison really had no idea how to react to that statement.
Did anyone else notice if Harrison looked a little "fatigued" in the interview? I could only imagine whats going on behind the scenes right now at Sony. Maybe its just me, I don't know.
You'll still be fine. First off, the patch is for co-op.
Second, you obviously have an internet connection. You can still hook the 360 up to internet and download the patch (even with a silver account). That's saying that you even plan on playing co-op through the system link option. Which from what it sounds like, you probably won't do that either. So you shouldn't have to worry about anything.
That's it. Problem solved.
Seriously, it would be really really sad if you didn't have some sort of high speed internet connection in your house by now.
High speed internet is like cable. Most PC's nowadays only have CAT 5 inputs for internet connections.
If you own a 360/PS3/or Wii for that matter and you don't have any sort of high speed internet in your house, tough sh1t I say!

I do play them on my big screen through emulation. I have a PC with emulators hooked to my 52" through a VGA cable.
Obviously I know not everyone does this but I can at least tell you that the novelty of playing them on a big screen wares off in about 10 minutes.
They can keep it! Just emulate these stupid games on your PC!
First off, Killzone 1 was a mediocre shooter at best. The reason this game received such bad reviews (worse than it deserved) was because Sony ran with the "Halo Killer" tag that this game didn't deserve.
In the long run though, the "Halo Killer" tag worked out pretty well for Sony. The game sold over a million copies very quickly.
I bought it, played it (online was "meh" at best), and traded it in before it dropped to $20 at...
but for some reason, they turn a deaf ear to the gaming public.
We have been calling for online multiplayer since the first Guitar Hero was released on day one!
Now you have a format like "live" and you still don't incorporate any sort of online multiplayer? Why?
It just doesn't make any sense to me.

I have been told by numerous Gamestop and EB games store in my local area that if you reserve a copy of Crackdown as of right now, you are garunteed a Halo 3 beta copy!
At least that is what they are claiming! I won't be suprised if I didn't get one though!

Not to mention that if you actually watch the video about IPTV and the 360, the 360 rep states that they are in talks with multiple ISP companies.

Nintendo does this "all the time". They constantly push games back for more development time. Luckily for Nintendo, these delays must work because Nintendo's first part AAA titles are always top notch when they are released.
I guess if the only system you own is a Wii, then you may be a little upset over this. But I always looked at the Wii as a "second" system. I spend a majority of my time gaming on the 360.
