I totally see what you are saying. It's such a touchy subject that its hard to say that anyone is right or wrong.
Should they be able to release the game? Of course they should.
Should they release a game like this? IMO, no.
But thats just my opinion. And its totally based on the fact of what it will bring to the industry.

I really believe that this game was created with the sole purpose of "pushing the limits".

This game looks amazing. Yes, its dark, yes there are loading breaks (cmon, Guerilla, use that HUGE hard drive that comes with the PS3) Isn't that what its there for?
Regardless, this game looks better than any game on any console at the moment.
If Killzone 2 proves to be more than just eye candy, it could push me purchase a PS3 at some point in the future. I may have to start saving soon!
Why would they do a simultanious release for Unreal Tournament when the 360 is just a couple of months away from the release of Halo 3?

I'm just gald the big differences were made on the "size" of the unit and not so much the control aspect. If they would have put dual analogs on the new one, I would have been pretty ticked off.
The video output seems cool but I really don't need it. I have never viewed a UMD movie on my PSP nor will I probably ever do so.

Because not everyone has the ability or wants to go through the effort to illegally download movies to their PC.
Not to mention that also, not everyone wants to sit and watch movies on their PC monitor. The Marketplace service lets you watch movies on your T.V. and in HD quality.
I do believe that digital downloads "can" be the future but they there is a lot that needs to happen first.

MGS4 is a tactical shooter and Killzone 2 is a full blown shooter.

I felt M$ had a ton of game "content" but for the most part, it was from games that we already knew about.
But it was nice to know that every game featured at the M$ conference is going to be released "this year".
They showed a ton of additions coming to XBLA and XBL Marketplace.
Not to mention live demos of Rock Band, Assasins Creed, GOW (PC), COD4, and Halo 3 single player campaign footag...
GTA 4 and Halo 3 will sell like crazy! It can only boost the 360 this holiday.
Sony's big hitters won't be around once again this Christmas. And people probably won't be able to get a Wii at retail.

I am very excited about this game. The environment looked awesome, the character movements were stunning and it seems that the voice acting is on par as well.
If this game does indeed end up on the 360, it won't be for a loooooong time.
And as much as I would love to see this game on the 360, it's also nice to see that there is still something called "loyalty".
Kojima and Sony have had a very long relationship. The Playstation essentially made Meta Gear what it is today.
Only I don't own a PS3 yet. But anyway I have my PS2, 360, Wii, DS, and PSP. I too am 28, married, one child, two cars and a house.

Listen, BOTH compnies are MAKING money! Sony is losing money on the PS3 as is M$ on the 360.
But what most of you seem to forget for some reason is that both of these companies make a ton of money on other products. Enough so, to cover the losses in their gaming divisions!
