Yeah it just makes sense as a gamer. I try to support developers by buying new, though sometimes it's hard to do, some games I consider a "Used buy" because I use Gamefly often.
I like getting as much free stuff as possible.
I think they probably overestimated the people's "want" for this edition. $150 is a lot of money, it's almost 3 whole games.
Last year I bought Fable 3 on Amazon as well as Kinect Sports and some other titles, I use them as well. I like the free content sometimes that Gamestop gives though.
This guy totally makes solid points, too bad at a place like this his opinion and point of view will get bashed...
Freedom Of Speech is not a lie, it's part of what makes america so amazing. As long as it's not endangering or threatening it's a wonderful thing.
Every game I've ever played has had a issue or two, but nobody can deny he has made some amazing games and is the most recognizable people in the industry.
GET OVER IT!
I come to this site everyday and deal with idiot trolls bashing my preferred console, I think it's Instant K...
This is by far one of the best years as far as games releasing that I've seen. The only problem I'm having is justifying the money to spend on all of them.
Honestly I probably cant or wont get all of them, but I hope to buy about 20 new games and I mostly buy at Gamestop..
Wow...sometimes the media need's to do a little more research. Of course it's not an IPhone, IPhone's are PHONES! They play little crappy cheap games and have companies charging you hundreds of dollars a month for service!
The 3DS is a handheld GAMING DEVICE....sheesh.
Cliffy B is opinionated like a lot of people. Take that Jaffe idiot, but people here tend to love that guy. No matter what he says. That's because this is a PS3 fanboys dream house.
I like Cliffy, this is America and we have this little thing called "Freedom Of Speech" maybe some of you have heard of it?
He can speak his opinions openly and there isn't much you can do about it. Not everyone is going to like the same things as you, deal with...
Motion controls are the future for gaming as far as the three main companies trying to get a piece of that action.
Why do you think they released them? Nintendo went after an untapped console market and straight up slapped Sony and Microsoft this generation.
As I've said, "core" gamers have nobody to blame but themselves, if they would support the developers and buy the games then it probably wouldn't be an issue, but you'd be foolish fr...
I started playing this game a couple of weeks ago, it'll appeal to any Lord Of the Rings fan. I have a few gaming clan members on that game now as well. Though you do still have to pay once you hit level 65.
Also you can only hold a certain amount of coin and items without paying for membership.
I do however like the LOTR stories and find the quests to be easier and more interesting then saw WOW, where it makes no sense to me, then again I'm a LOTR f...
About a month ago I bought the Ultimate Forza 3 collection. Which came with an insane amount of DLC and extra cars, tracks ect..
To my surprise it's the BEST racing sim I've ever played! Not only is it easily accessible for anyone, the damage effects and car physics are the best I've ever seen!
Forza 3 is the first racing game that has kept my interest for longer then a few races, I'm now in my 5th season on it and have no plans on stopping, t...
Move is a bit of a failure IMHO. They have no real facts to back up sales data, they aren't even releasing data at this point.
I mean I made this point earlier, but what constitutes a "Move sale"? Is it one wand? The Nunchuck? The PS EYE? and how can they track software? clearly the software aimed at Move itself isn't selling well at all.
I mean they cant really think people bought Killzone 3 or will buy Socom are buying it for Move? I thin...
Good thing I'm an American! Will be getting this, if not for anything for the fun of it!
Numbers please? I find the whole Move thing sketchy at best. What constitutes as a Move sale exactly? One wand? The bundle? The PS Eye? the Nunchuk attachment? Do each piece count as a Move sale?
Also what about software sales? I mean they let it be used in games like Killzone 3, but it's impossible to track how many use Move to control it.
It's just very fishy, to me anyway.
Ehh all I can imagine is the price tag.
Whatever happened to the things that made Sony so great with the PS1 and PS2? It wasn't all about hardware, it was afford ability, Games and easy to use.
Last generation the PS2 fanboys all cried out "It's not graphics that matter!" now it seems all they care about are graphics......
I'll have to pick this up on the Xbox 360. I never did play through this title back in the day, but I remember it got amazing scores.
Why all the hype for this game? The Orange Box and Portal 1 wasn't very good IMHO.
Steam more of a P.C. type of deal? It wouldn't matter to me, honestly there not saying the game is "Better on PS3" they are saying the games are exactly the same but the PS3 version gets Steam. Which would be good for people into that though.
Not sure too many people care about that one way or the other though.
Not sure why so many PS3 fanboys are upset the 360 might get some exclusive character as well.
Could be anyone really, from Gears to Halo to someone from the DOA series....
You cant touch a 3-D television for under $1500, anything decent sized is $2000-$3000 or more and that's with one set of glasses.
Compared to the almost 60 inch LED television I bought for under $1000 it's an easy choice for me. I was never a fan of 3-D and don't plan to be, it makes me sick at the theater and gives me headaches.
It could be fun I guess with a movie like Star Wars but I don't want to wear stupid glasses to enjoy television, g...
FPS games are big right now. I knew all the promotion by Microsoft and THQ would pay off. It's a solid game, it has some bugs, but nothing compared to some other games I've played recently.
People complaining about the short campaign should feel grateful they get one at all, I mean look at Warhawk, Socom Confrontation and MAG, three full priced game that lacked ANY CAMPAIGN WHATSOEVER.
The real gem of Homefront is the online anyway, which as of right...
