Glad it's getting such high scores. It's nice to see what can be done when developers take their time to properly do a game. Two year cycles are crap IMHO. Great games take at least a few years. I guess we live in the age of sequels and rushed entries.
Gonna pick this up right after work. Already like twelve people on my 360 friends list playing this!
I miss ESPN NFL 2K series :(
Madden is the same thing every year and this year we might not even have football....Stupid lockout.
I think the fanboys wishing for L4D3 shouldn't hold their breath. We for one thing don't know what type of deal Microsoft has on exclusive L4D as far as consoles go. After the flack of L4D2 coming out just a year after L4D1 I kind of doubt we get another sequel so soon, especially since both L4D 1 & 2 both have strong online communities on the Xbox 360 still.
Well if the new map pack for Reach is any indication we will see some pretty damn good multiplayer maps at least.
I'm hoping 343 tries super hard with their Halo and put's out a great game. I really enjoy the series but it's not like Bungie were Gods or something, they made quality titles but they had some flaws as well.
I seriously am excited to see what 343 has up their sleeves, after all a lot of people working for 343 are ex original Bungie t...
I know I've been seeing this story a lot lately, but there is no confirmation and the video could have been from anything really. It's kind of short. Who know's about the concept art.The site for this story is sketchy at best, more rumor then anything IMHO.
I do know I really enjoyed Perfect Dark Zero and hope one day they make a sequel, all the tech is there. I would love anything from Rare, especially a Kameo, Perfect Dark, Banjo or Viva game!
I appreciate your opinion on this piece but it could have been worded better.
I agree Microsoft seems to be weathering the storm of Sony's 1st party barrage, I remember hearing a lot of naysayers back in 2009 when the PS3 got a price drop and Microsoft sort of just trotted along, I knew they would come out strong in 2010 and they did just that.
I mean slim 360s, Kinect, Mass Effect 2, Metro 2033, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Ninety Nine Nights 2, Fable 3 and o...
Well I have two of the three games... Homefront and BulletStorm. Both excellent titles, I enjoyed the BulletStorm campaign more and it was much longer, but I didn't mind the shorter Homefront Campaign at all, it felt just right to get the feel of the weapons and all that.
The online on Homefront is fantastic for certain, so glad we get a new and fresher IP for the FPS genre.
I have to disagree with this review, the online on Uncharted 2 never had much punch, it lacked community when compared to other games and lacked teams to play against competitively on Gamebattles.
Also, I'll add it felt kind of tacked on, mostly as a way to cash in on how everyone tends to float towards games with online thrown in now days.
No game is ever perfect, I would have given it a high 8 or 9 but when games are that good, they usually get a rushed...
I can list a huge few reasons why I don't want a new Xbox or another other new console right now.
First is price, new consoles are always expensive and usually have some launch issues. I don't need to pay $400 for something that isn't actually ready to be released.
Second is the lack of launch titles for new consoles, although I did enjoy quite a few of the XBox 360 launch titles, Kameo, COD2 and Perfect Dark Zero that is the rarity of gaming con...
Yea, I'm betting America came and helped out your country at one time or another, talk trash all you want, but as soon as some country get's slapped in the mouth, who do they come running to for protection? Yeah, big Brother USA!
God Bless America.
I enjoyed Halo ODST, I bought it well after the Reach beta and bought it as a standalone title. I was not disappointed in the least, 4 player online co-op and a pretty good story with voice actors from one of my all time favorite shows "Firefly".
Granted there was no online aside from Firefight which was actually really well done, also it had the complete Halo 3 online with all the map packs, which is well worth the price.
That's a lot of conten...
I heard the same thing after MW2. "I won't buy Black Ops" then Black Ops goes on to sell 20+ million copies and break all of MW2 records. I hear it over and over but I think it's thew minority that feel that way.
Homefront was marketed heavily on the XBox 360, Microsoft really did a good job with the bundles, ad's on the dashboard and general information and previews about the game on XBL.
Also the exclusive DLC helped, I was glad I picked it up on the 360. No complaints on my end.
Looks fantastic! It's amazing what these companies can do when they take there time. Cant wait to play it this Tuesday.
@btk
Rare has made one Kinect game, and IMHO it's the best Kinect game on the market.
Now they are rumored to be making a sequel, I don't see a problem with that in the least. It's also rumored that they are working on a new Perfect Dark and or Kameo game. I don't see a problem with that either. The way that company works they could easily release Kinect Sports 2 and Perfect Dark 2 next year and they wouldn't be in direct competition because they...
Personally as a Xbox 360 fan, my hope for this year is Gears 3, Forza 4, Halo CE Remake, but not by 343 as I'm hoping they are working on Halo 4 for next year.
With so many solid third party games this year, it might be a bit of a waste to release too many first party games, they might end up being overlooked entirely.
I'd say with the way the 360 and Kinect are selling right now, just give people enough to keep them relatively happy and then next ye...
Mobile means on the move, Consoles are home based. As a person in my mid twenties I download a few games on my Windows 7 phone, but the quality on Mobile games isn't really going to ever overtake consoles.
At the same time, I don't want a console type of game on a mobile or handheld, I'd much rather get the console game experience on my giant HD television with surround sound.
Mobile and Handheld games should mostly be short, easy to finish and l...
Wait, wait, wait, so Kinect Sports is shovelware? Could have fooled me, to me it's the best Kinect game on the market and it's scored rather well and sold really well, it's so popular it's spawned talk of a sequel already.
As for the "Puppet" statement, I'd look at it this way, Microsoft sunk a lot of time and money into Kinect and needed their top developer to make a hit game to warrant the purchase of a Kinect, obviously they chose right.
Ya, how they've fallen. Putting out 6 retail games and Perfect Dark on XBL, in the past 6 years and having them all go platinum has really let everyone down huh?
Just because they worked more recently on the Kinect doesn't mean there going down in quality.
I've enjoyed the Rare made Xbox 360 games much more then most other titles for the console.
Well Sony has invested millions into the 3-D fad, they better support it. Honestly though I don't see how it can be successful, I know many people like myself are just now getting larger HDTV's. I bought a nice 52 inch LED that I absolutely love.
Not only that but the couple of times I've even tried to watch a 3-D movie at the theater I got really bad headaches and I wasn't the only one. Wearing glasses to watch Television, movies or to game just isn't som...
