First day purchase for me. Hey haters, there is your Kinect "Core" game. This one is looking amazing, as long as it plays like the other Forza games, it'll continue to be the benchmark in racing simulators! Fantastic!
To each their own, I think the only reason I've even hung on to the PS3 as long as I have is in case a new Xbox is announced I can sell it and get some of the money towards the new console.
I believe there is a decent market for Backwards Compatible PS3's still in the original box?
I thought the regular DS was the PSP killer? I mean 3 to 1 in sales and a much better library of games. 3DS just broke all records here in the states for sales. I'm sure it'll be fine, I know I'm enjoying it. Cant wait to get OOT though.

I know a lot of people think MS isn't coming out with many exclusives or solid games, but this one and Gunstringer and Child Of Eden look amazing! I know Child Of Eden isn't exclusive but looks like it was intended to be played with Kinect. Cant wait for these games!
If this were true I might have to dust off the old PS3 and finally finish this game, due to lack of trophies and the stupid install times for each chapter I never finished this installment and in general the game has been a letdown for me since I was such a huge MGS fan.
In this economy companies cant really take risks,the exceptions usually don't see much success,with the exception on like Alan Wake.
Anyway, FPS games are hot right now and probably for the future as well, as for the COD syndrome thing, people copy it because it's such a good games. People complain if a FPS game has different controls then a COD game, people are used to the COD style and I tend to think the same way.

I read an article here and other places like Game Informer which stated 3 million unique players play Halo 3 a month, which is 50 percent more people then plays all PSN games combined, 30+ million use XBL and Sony does not have any real PSN numbers, mainly because they count multiple PSN's as well as PSP accounts. Personally I have 10 different PSN accounts.
An Easy way to gauge is Halo Reach will have a million plus on at a time everyday, Halo 3 still draws half a millio...

Seriously unless you work for these companies it shouldn't matter in the least. Play what makes you happy and have fun. It's what gaming is all about.
If you only go by whats popular you might miss out on some really great games and experiences.
Don't play follow the leader when it comes to games and gaming, though some popular games can be great too. Just don't base what you like on what other people like.
Just not a fan of the PS3 dash, friends lists, no real way to police it, no feedback system, no ability to appear offline, less players and on PS3 games it seems the communities die out really, REALLY fast.
Within months and sometimes weeks the amount of players die out drastically. Also I hate all the system updates, installs, slow download times.

Great article that made some solid points. As a gamer though, I honestly don't care about sales. At this point none of the consoles are a failure and with an extended life cycle we the gamers are all the winners.

The "Best" or most "Powerful" console NEVER wins the generation. The Sega Horror game as well as project Draco definitely have me interested but I need to see more on those first.

Truly Microsoft has done a good job at paying attention, to do well in the USA is something all the companies strive for, Nice to see the console market is wide open from generation to generation
I didn't mind the portals, but I wont miss it, if they used exactly the same things from the first game it'd be a rehash and I'd rather it have some fresher elements.
I could go either way on this. I am more then content to keep playing the current consoles, but at the same time a new Xbox would be sweet new tech.
I have a dusty BC PS3 that I never play that could find a new home off Ebay and I'd probably get at least half the price from that for the new Box.
So as I said, I'm cool either way.
I am sure they will have some sort of OOT bundle, it would be crazy not to do so. I mean OOT is only THE BEST game of all time, well in my opinion anyway.
