I own nine of those, the COD titles are fantastic! Some of the Wii ones, like the one with the extra Wii Mote were sold simply for the extra controller. But it's a solid list, glad to see "Core" gamers taking the top spot, casual's outnumber the core people, so it's impressive to have any in that list.
It's not because BF3 will be terrible, but P.C. gaming is not as popular as console gaming and with this game having an emphasis on the P.C. side of things I think it will have a negative effect on the console gamers.
Look a Crysis 2, sold better on 360 and even PS3 compared to the P.C.
COD is a steady franchise that people like, maybe not here, but overall in the world people love that game.
Well as a business you go with the money. When great games like Metro 2033 and Alan Wake come out like last year and get largely ignored and then Kinect Sports and Dance Central come out and sell millions, it's not a hard choice.
Nobody to blame but themselves. I however think Microsoft and all the companies will continue to try and reach all demographics.

Well the only way I see the Battlefield game outselling the next COD will be if COD doesn't release this year.
Not only will Battlefield 3 not even dent the COD sales, but it will sell less then 6 million combined.

Halo Wars was an RTS and ODST was more of a expansion then anything, as it didn't bring any new Multiplayer to the forefront of the Halo franchise.
It's a different story when compared to the things I mentioned. You could even add games like Metal Gear to the "Milked" label if you wanted to, I mean they'd come out with the game, then change it to "subsistence" or what have you and repackage it.

One of the top Xbox 360 games from last year. Definitely something different in the FPS genre.
I am glad that even though it didn't get a lot of hype they are making a sequel, 2034 on the Xbox 360 would be an exceptional title for the console and maybe more people would take notice this time around.
I just thought I'd throw out the point that when Microsoft shuts down a studio, they usually hire the most talented members from said studio and they just merge into "Microsoft Game Studios".
So it's not like they are completely without talent to make games.
In fact a lot of people at 343 studios are former Bungie and former original Bungie members.

Game developers are having to patch more now because they are forced to pump out a game every year or two. I mean before you'd expect a three year and sometimes longer cycle, now it's just ridicules, it all goes into my saying that there is no such thing as a perfect game and with the way these companies rush things now day's we'll start to see the stellar games drop from the top to mediocre.

I still believe Halo CE Remake comes out this year, but I must say all those on that list are feasible for next year.
I'd love to see Alan Wake 2, now that they have the engine built, it shouldn't take too long to make a sequel. Would also love to see Metro 2034 and wouldn't turn down a Viva Piñata game either. I also think we all know we'll see Project Gotham Racing 5 as well as Kingdoms next year. So it's looking solid.

Well if you go by overall in the entire lifespan of the 360 and the PS3 the Xbox 360 does have more exclusives. This year if you count Kinect then it's not even close to be honest.
I know it's going to be controversial but it's not like it's a lie, just because all the games might not be your cup of tea doesn't mean it's not true.

We don't know what the future holds for it. We know about things like Kingdoms but anything is possible. I'm sure if Microsoft if first out the gate companies will line up to get them content.
I think overall in this economy it's risky to launch new IP's but we saw some last year with the likes of Alan Wake and Metro 2033, both were vastly underrated and amazing games, I think there is a good middle ground to be had.
Ya, got it on Gamefly. About an hour and a half in I was seriously wondering if I would get some game with my "Video game".
I don't think gaming started with the Xbox, but I am smart enough to realize the possibilities on Kinect. It's so accurate and can really pick out features, so in the future it would be easy enough to control certain movements in a FPS so that it wouldn't have to be on rails.
