I think having to make an entire channel dedicated to Nintendo is cumbersome. I hope they find a way to just drop the two different plans and give a fixed cut to anyone using Nintendo's content. As of right now the whitelist is also really lame.

Actually I think that is a list of games you are allowed to do with Nintendo's approval? And that is only if you dedicate your whole channel to Nintendo I think. Nintendo has not really communicated the whitelist all that well and it is way too small. How can they allow Wii Play but not any of the Smash games?
You know hearing all these details makes me think about how Destiny promised a lot of this. If this is all true then Nintendo out-Destiny'd Destiny lol.
If this is all true then Nintendo should be taken to court so as to set a legal precedent that Let's Plays are fair use. The issue is that fair use has clauses that do lean toward LPs but they have not officially been recognized as fair use the way parody and commentary are supposed to be.
I don't think it's the same because no one gets paid ad revenue for playing music in their homes. It is greedy sure since when it's money it's always about greed but if it is about ethics or how legal it is then there is not much wrong. To change that someone would have to sue Nintendo and prove in court that Let's Plays are fair use I think.
I don't think they were playing them to begin with when Nintendo started monetizing last year. :p
If they put in 4p coop maybe they put in VC too? Let's hope this dev is a little more understanding of the value of that than Nintendo! :p
I'm not sure I understand your analogy? The game consoles we are talking about are not really broken products and there are bundles for every system now which basically increase the value because you do not need to buy the games separately. For Assassin's Creed fans the Xbox bundle is pretty good deal since you get two games in a $350 bundle and one of those games is brand new even though it's still buggy but I digress since that game is still selling a ton.

I realized that yeah. I do believe publishers are legally owed a percentage if they choose to pursue it Rifftrax doesn't get away with selling movies so I don't really see how video games get a free pass. That said Nintendo's program for handling it is pretty obscure and needs a LOT of improvement if not a total overhaul IMO.

I think any of us would agree it's great logic for any console that gets bundled with a game. A PS4 is basically $400 for a $500 value, bundle or not and an AC Xbox One bundle is almost a $500 when you factor in the two Assassin's Creed games it comes with, and the headset. For Wii U it's basically $250 for a console and a game which IMO is a good deal like the other two.

Yeah I know what you and I apologize if I added to that in the previous posts. You have to admit though that having no voice chat in a game about competitive teamwork would be a big mistake though. Really hoping there's friend chat in this game because that would be absolutely perfect for me.
Yes please. This is something Nintendo really should have gotten down already. At least let friends voice chat together!
