As long as the game is fun to play and has an interesting dynamic, I don't see what exactly the problem is. I mean, I'm renting it first as well, but I'm expecting to love it enough to want to buy it.
Watch Dogs is trying some new things and has a decent look about it. For all we know it could be a completely innovative experience. Or it's crap. I don't know. I have yet to try it myself.
I thought Second Son was a beautiful game. It was clear the focus on that game was the powers and the combat. Watch Dogs has a totally different focus and that's to make the world seem a live. More real and less comic book-like.
Waiting to see what people think of the game before I try it myself, but I must admit it is shaping up to be quite an experience. I only just recently learned of the online stuff, so that should definitely provide everyone with some longevity.
Game journalism at its finest indeed. Sigh.
Kind of showcases the markets and how varied they are. The Xbox side has two M-rated shooters. The Sony side has a racer, an adventure game and a sports title.
I'm not sure that that includes used sales. For all we know the actual number could be 4 million.
How can you not include bundled sales when people obviously bought them for both the device and the game?
I never heard of it either. Would have liked to try it if it was well made though.
If it featured the classic Banjo-Kazooie platformer style, I doubt people would have minded the name. Sounds like something a lot of kids could have gotten into.
Crap? I'll have you know that some of the collect-a-thon platformers on N64 and Playstation are some of the best games in creation. Classic Spyro and Crash for starters.
@Sitdown
You know people who have worked at Rare pretty much confirmed that all of the crap that has happened to the company is the result of poor management from Microsoft, right?
Agreed. There just isn't a market so there won't be any really high quality games for Kinect.
The thing is Kinect Sports is a far more casual title and probably doesn't change much from the 360 games. If Microsoft are going to continue trying to sell Kinect then they need to do a better job than this. Also keep in mind that 5/10 doesn't necessarily mean it's a terrible game, that score is supposed to mean "average" or "okay."
The irony being that sports are pretty specific as far as tasks and objectives are concerned.
I can imagine this game being fun with friends who don't normally play video games, but I think it's one Xbox One game that will quickly be forgotten.
I agree. I miss Arbiter as well and he and the rest of the "good" Covenant (I think they were called the heretics) need to make a return.
(SPOILERS)
I certainly hope so. I was devastated by the end of Halo 4. You can't just take Cortana out like that, especially when she and Chief have such a great dynamic.
Halo is their biggest franchise for sure. If the Halo TV show is a success, it can potentially push Halo 5 and Xbox One sales even further.
Well, well miyamoto, that was very well spoken. :)
