I'm glad someone from the UK has responded to this news before it gets out of hand. I would NEVER think of buying a game from WH Smith. I go there for books/stationary/magazines - not games lol
I love the title also; "says major UK retailer" they should add "says major UK retailer THAT DOESN'T SPECIALISE IN GAMES" and that EVERY store which specialises in games have them at the same price.
And why would WH Smith lead the way for other stores to st...
"That link you gave, it refers' to EU, NOT USA.
That includes the farmers up on the hills in Italy... Now, I don't think broadband penetration is going to be all that high in the alphs."
That comment is HILARIOUS lol Trying to pretend that America doesn't have hills or mountains, or towns/villages that aren't remote lol lol I think there is a saying about glass houses....
I got to play this at the Play.com Live event and it seems to be a pretty solid game. The people who notice it and play it are going to enjoy it!
Yeah this game runs at 30fps and never drops below 29fps and doesn't go over 32fps (apart from loading screens which are 120fps). I was watching people play the game for like 20 minutes and played around 10 minutes myself with that information on the screen telling you the frames per second.
I can confirm it was running on a PC. Before the presentation you could see the desktop (they were running Windows XP funnily enough) with a huge purple UV logo as the background. Apparently this is the company which supplied their system.
He also confirmed that the PC/PS3/360 would all be released at the same time.
EDIT: Sorry, meant to reply to the above post :)
I didn't get a chance to play it actually, I plan to give it a try tomorrow though. I have a feeling with it being set up so close to GT:Prologue that it was overlooked by some (if not most) people.
They were showing a video of God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PSP, perhaps that what you saw?
Also, didn't realise the Sony booth was part of the VIP section??
I got to play the second demo which was in an building with a large space in the middle and lava-like ponds. The effects after administering nectar was very cool and definitely adds to your gameplay. I would have to agree with everything said in this preview. Keep an eye out for this game!
I got to play this game today and it's a pretty solid game. I didn't get to play very long though, but it was enough to be impressed!
I'm actually quite looking forward to this game. I'm waiting for some reviews before taking the plunge though. I like what I've seen so far though...
Anyone else looking for to this?
I got mine in the post this morning. I also received an e-mail from Play.com stating that if your ticket doesn't arrive in time, to take a print out of you order confirmation and proof of purchase and you'll be able to get in. So no worries!
Also, does anyone have a spare VIP ticket they'd be willing to sell me?? :D
Yeah I'm looking forward to this.
Anyone got a VIP ticket they're willing to sell me? :D
Synonyms for "dreary":
Dull, Boring, Monotonous, Tedious, Lacklustre, Unexciting, Routine.
Hopes this helps :::thumbs up:::
I'm glad they've finally started releasing some information. I took the plunge and got a VIP ticket back in January, so I'm more than looking forward to going now; there's lots of games I'm interested in and I hope it's true when it says they'll all be playable.
Also looking forward to visiting Wembley Stadium for the first time. Wonder why Sony are holding back on some of their games?
Fun game, I enjoyed it. Definitely unique. I had a horrid time trying to control the thing though! Is there any way to invert right/left and up/down????
JamieSI needs to start looking at what he approves. This story is just a bit further down the page!
Unfortunately, there hasn't been been any word on whether this will be included or not. I hope so too! I play COD4 the most and it's like the only game I have that doesn't use rumble.
In your first post you talked about COD4 having lag and how the patch made the 360 version lag even more and how the PS3 version might not have the same problem because of the cell processor.
Now I'm not saying anything against the cell, as it is a wonderful piece of technology and I enjoy using it every day.
What made me laugh is that you were saying how the cell might actually affect lag. The PS3 could have 100 cell processors and it'd still lag. As you pointed out...
LOL - "i know it may not happen to the ps3 coz of the cell"
Classic comment.
If only the internet was that simple and lag would magically disappear because of the power of the cell lol
What I did to get used to the basics was just do an offline game with the wife (thanks hun for being such a good sport!) lol.
Do people forget you can do 4 player split screen offline? Even if you don't have another person, but have two controllers, just set it up and get your basics down and get comfortable before confronting the big bad world of online :)
