I wonder how much this has to do with trophies? I got the game when it first came out last year and it's certainly one of my favourite games for the PS3, but I wonder how many people gave this gem a try because of trophies??

I wonder why it'll take so long to get these to the main stores? It surely can't be that hard to make some plastic cards with codes and then distribute them? I mean, they're sending them to all the places you wouldn't expect to sell them, so why not just redistribute them to reach the target audience?
I also think they're making a mistake not getting these out before Christmas, they'd make a pretty handy present to quite a few people....
This game has a Platinum trophy? I thought download only games wouldn't have a platinum trophy; does that mean this game is coming out on blu-ray?

The keyboard goes over the R1/L1 so you just put your fingers under the keyboard to use your controller as normal.
Wouldn't you be downgrading your PS3 by replacing your 60GB with the new 80GB?
The reason I say this is because it doesn't have the backwards compatibility, 4x USB ports, Card readers, etc....
Wouldn't you be better off just spending your money on a bigger hard drive??

The thing I like about trophies is it gives you something to work towards, something to aim for. A game like this needs it, cause otherwise it's just a game with no meaning. You answer questions, get it right/wrong and go onto the next thing - there is no reward. Now with trophies, there is a meaning to playing this game and a reward for doing things and doing them well (like getting a certain score).
Yep, I just downloaded the patch and it is indeed trophies! Pretty simple trophies too :)

In my eyes, as long as it comes out on the PS3 (as it's the only console I own) then I'm happy. As long as I can play it, I'm happy.
So before all the fanboyism starts, all the PS3 owners; don't worry because it's still coming out on the PS3. I'd be more worried if it wasn't and that it'd become exclusive to another platform.

It's for the US only. The rest of the world will be getting it later this year. I'm guessing you're from Canada (not sure what makes me think that though!) and I'd presume you'll be getting it along with Europe/Japan/etc.
Although this is good news for PES2009 I don't see this as a big factor to weigh into the debate of whether to buy Fifa or PES.
The reason? Well it's only rights to a name and Fifa could always immitate it by making the champions league but just calling it something else like 'European Cup' or similar. Just as PES does with all the licenses it doesn't have. I believe they both even have an option to create your own tournament!

I think they're definitely losing money not releasing more PS1 games (preferably popular classics) and they should definitely look into releasing some older PS2 games.
I'm torn on which to get also. I think which one my mates get will affect me also.
