I agree, games with RRP of £50 do sell for £40 on the net (but not on the highstreet) - but these exclusive games have a RRP of £40 and are selling for £33. That's cheaper than all the other games.
You might as well pre-order with whoever now. What companies usually do is with pre-orders is you're guaranteed the price at the point you buy, so if they price goes up you still get it at the lower price. On top of that, if the price goes down even more, you get it at the cheaper price.

as pointed out by timmyp53 further below, the reviewer from Play did IN FACT get the final build of the game and the issues highlighted WERE fixed. What's the problem?
Perhaps these shouldn't be REVIEWS - but PREVIEWS and include that they weren't testing FINAL code and that the issues raised in their PREVIEWS are being promised to be addressed by the company making the game.
How can you review something which isn't finished? That just isn't fair really, is it?

I don't understand why people believe that Halo 3 will sell millions of more Xbox360 systems. The Xbox is already established and the people waiting for Halo 3 already own a 360. I can't think of anyone I know who is holding off making the decision to buy a 360 for more games to come out - they've all already got one!

It's a matter of opinion mate. This isn't news, it's one man's speculation, and if anything, trouble making.
The majority of the story is a duplicate and nothing new and the rest is just speculation that's going to spark a stupid fanboy war. Very lame in my opinion.

Game consoles are no longer just for 'gaming' and there is so much more to them these days. I'd certainly say that game software will still be the major decider, but it's certainly nice to be able to continue using your console for other things when you're not playing a game.
What are your sources for these claims? If GTA IV came out on the PS3, I'd say that would be a huge huge boost. So I don't blame Micro$oft for doing this, if it's true.
I'm lucky enough to have the download install properly without any issues. It's the same demo that showed up on XBL (not the multiplayer one though).
You really have to say this is a big selling point to some people. I know for a fact it was one of the reasons which I bought my PS3. Having to pay over the odds for 120gb (the largest you can get) for a Xbox 360 didn't really appeal to me for some reason....
I'm happy to get this Demo and a few more trailers. It'd be nice to have a larger content, but that'll probably take a little time.
I've been looking forward to this game and a good demo will decide whether I buy it or not. I wonder if these companies realize what effect these demo's actually have on their sales??

I could see Monopoly coming onto the PSP and/or DS as well as Scrabble. I think mobile phones and PDA's could be a good target as well.

I was tempted to get one while I was in America this past May. I saw them in Wal-Mart and Target. If I remember correctly, they were $9.99 for just the glove and $14.99 with a cable. Did all sorts of colours too.

It's true R:FOM and Motorstorm have a RRP of £39.99, but when they first came out they were selling for that price online as well as on highstreet stores. They then later dropped to a lower price of £29.99 or £32.99 (depending where you go). These very anticipated games are STARTING at £32.99.
Surely a tactical move by Sony.
