They have to focus on so many things compared to Playstation exclusives without multiplayer or coop. They build the engine while developing the game. PC + 4 console ports. Separate servers for PC and consoles. Anti-cheat software for multiplayer. New multiplayer maps built from the ground up + a huge campaign (Forge later). The Playstation offers you an 8-10h SP campaign, that's all .... less work.
to dbcoops: all games from 23 studios in the next 3 years?
Congratulations! You can sub 3 years for $140 (converting from Gold). Crazy stuff! Imagine that for that money you can only buy 2 games on PS5! Calm down...calm down...I know.
Games are usually in the Game Pass for one year, with a few exceptions. By then, you are already tired of them and want to move on. I'd rather pay $ 5 to rent games (for a year) than buy them for $ 70. First party games never leave the service, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite (Campaign) will be still there 5 years later.
Halo Infinite development:
1. Tim Longo (creative director) left 2019
2. Mary Olson (lead producer) left 2019
3. Chris Lee (studio head) left 2020
4. Joseph Staten (creative director) joined 2020
I haven't heard a bad word about the game yet (as for the multiplayer, which is probably the most important part of the game).
This is still a better solution than 2 separate disks and you are locked to one version at a time.
The only bug I had after the match if you look at the scoreboard (at least 10 times in total), the game is no longer looking for a new game ... you must restart the entire game.
I would pick XCOM any day of the week.
It's always been at that price and Eneba is a great place to shop. Recommended.
Imagine hitting 30 million subs with the Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The scale is not even comparable. Rift Apart will be forgotten in a week with its 70 price tag ... 8-hour campaign, no multiplayer or coop. Infinite is free as part of the Game Pass and will be played months and months after the release. Go play alone and use the magnifying glass.
The game just looks GOOD, nothing groundbreaking or special, but plays 10/10, which is much more important. I had a blast in beta and I never play Halo, like seriously.
Studio collaboration is a very common way to complete development today. You're really stupid.
"God of War: Ragnarok Getting Help from Valkyrie Entertainment" <------------- OMG the game is in trouble.
250+ people cannot handle the development.
If you think that if one studio helps another, it's too much and there's cause for concern, what do you think of this article? Let's not forget that this is one of the best studios in the world, who needed a so-called "small" helping hand.

The Initiative is not a big studio, and you probably won't be able to acquire hundreds of people in three years if you want to create something big and awesome, so all you have left is to cooperate with larger studios that already have the workforce.
Uncharted 4 and Destruction AllStars had even microtransactions on top of the fully (Allstar was 20) priced game, so stfu.
Microtransactions are almost part of every multiplayer game (player versus player). The same goes for Uncharted 4 and Destruction AllStars. The Playstation doesn't have many MP-focused games, so it's good to point fingers. You usually play on PS alone.
Since they couldn't use the word "diversity", these third - person action adventure games are under the word "unique".
The game looks absolutely gorgeous. I don't understand what this cry is about !? Such games never push gaming industry graphics forward but it seems that 343 is also interested in getting good points in this category.
