There is a lot of room for improvement in this department.

Space combat and 1000 planets completely unnecessary. Looks unpolished, especially shooting. Nothing happens with 6 months, 95% remains the same. 20% better than Cyberpunk launch. Sounds too ambitious and the quality suffers.

It is not right for games to be revealed 3-4 years before they will be released. People are waiting for their most anticipated games to appear on every E3 and are disappointed year after year. The whole thing should be the way that you only reveal games for a maximum of a year before they are coming out.

Microsoft aims for one AAA per quarter (to keep the Game Pass subs rolling), but they are not quite there. No matter how many studios you have recently acquired, it will take 3-5 years to make triple-A's, and the current situation, where the last considerable game was released more than 6 months ago, decline in subscriptions is expected.

It's not all negative. In terms of gameplay and sound effects, 343 has surpassed itself for sure.

This studio is too mediocre to attract interest ...

Xbox has the smallest player base of all platforms, but should lead the way in sales?
Steam Charts -> 1195 current players (132 million monthly active users).
The game is dead on all platforms.

to darkrider:

Let's not forget how this generation started. Sony refused to wait for the AMD to finalize the chip and add all the bells and whistles, as the Series consoles did. Full production began several months before Microsoft's production. For example, the PS5 won't support Mesh Shaders, which will be a huge blow in the future when games start supporting it.

The game would never have sold more than 30% of the downloaded numbers. I also have proof of how the games included in the service significantly boost the overall player count. My "The Ascent" experience on Xbox was as follows, where my three friends who ended up downloading the game were extremely skeptical about the game and wouldn't have bought it based on what they saw. As it was already in service, it was easy to download and try.

You should already know that Bethesda always shows the game 5-6 months before the release...not before.

Game Pass currently has 453 games. The games usually stay there for one year (first-party stuff stays there as long as you subscribe to the service, or forever), except for really big third-party games like RDR2, which was there for about 5 months. Let's see how many new games come with the new PS Plus...from indies to current PS5 games or you really have "just an old games catalogue".

Everything they said about RT was a lie. They promised 25TF of total system power. 12TF of actual system power and an additional 13TF from "separate" RT cores, but now it turns out that RT support is taken from the total power of the machine. Therefore, with RT, we only see 30 fps or 60 fps and 30% lower resolution.

Nothing surfaced more than "a mindless shooter". They give you many choices between augmentations/upgrades and weapons, but in the end you only use a few of them throughout the game. Some of them are too good, almost broken or out of balance and the rest just useless.

That's true, a mindless shooter, but in a good way.

This is not even a comparable comparison. First party vs third party games.

Metacritic does not include any 2/10 scores, considering it to be a troll. So far I've seen 3 similar ratings and they've excluded them all probably of thinking it can't be that bad. The overall score would be well below the current 46.

This could lead to a metacritic of 87 ... same as Halo Infinite. Could someone ever accept that?

Quick? Remedy started working on the single player campaign in 2016...but I suspect that only a small fraction of the staff actually worked on the game and the main focus/team was working on blockbusters like Control and Alan Wake 2. Obviously, CrossfireX was a side project to fund themselves.

All open world games on the Series S (Far Cry 6, Metro Exodus, etc.) are 60 fps ... they should look in the mirror and upgrade their game engine.
