Even a lot of the Switch exclusives hasn't exactly blown my hair back. Games like Kirby Star Allies, Mario Golf, Mario Party, Luigi's Mansion 3, Mario Tennis, Yoshi's Crafted World, Arms, 1-2 Switch, Splatoon 2, Pokémon Go, Pokémon Sword/Shield, etc have been very underwhelming IMO. If you took away all of the Wii/Wii U ports/remasters, the Switch library wouldn't be all that great.
Sad
It's sad to think that a F2P micro-transaction driven iteration will make or break this IP.
This is one game I skipped on PS4 so I will definitely be picking this one up!
And why should they? Switch sales are still very strong. People don't vote with their wallet enough. I bought a Switch for my son for Christmas back in 2017. He doesn't even touch it now. He'd rather play on the PS5 or on his tablet. Nintendo games for the most part just don't speak to him anymore. Rest assured I will not buy another Nintendo product
Poor Atari. They try so hard to fit in with the modern gaming landscape.
@locomorales
That's a dumb comparison. At the time, OLED's were way more expensive than they are now. Sony replaced the OLED with an LCD so they could bring DOWN the cost of the Vita. Unlike Nintendo who's making this model more expensive.
This is a really dumb take. So you're going to purposely ignore a potentially great game just because a sequel that doesn't even exist yet might not come to PS5? Wow!
And a different kind of entitlement to believe you dont.
This game is awesome and as much as I love Ratchet, Rivet completely stole my heart! I really want a stand alone game featuring her and Kit.
And I bought the Blu Ray anniversary edition of Jaws. Did I complain when a new 4K version came out? No.
Some people don't understand the concept of budgeting either. Sometimes studios are able to work DLC into their initial development budget and as long as it can get produced within the parameters of the budget they set, yes it can be offered free of charge. However if added content is created outside of the initial budget of the main game then it becomes necessary to charge consumers for it. Ikishima isn't some side mission. It's an entirely new Island to explore with new enem...
So to Xbox, an "exclusive" just means NOT on PlayStation. Lol.
Question, do some of you whine like this when you buy a Blu-ray movie and then find out a new 4K Directors Cut disc comes out? Do you demand that the 4K version should be free to all current Blu-ray owners? How is this any different?
If you want to enjoy the labors of a quality developer like Sucker Punch, well then you need to pay for it. Either don't buy it and shut up or stop being such a whiny, socialist tight wad and pay them for their efforts. They didn't ...
There was already a PS5 patch for Ghost of Tsushima for free. If you don't want to pay for the new one, then stick with that one. The choice is yours.
Cry me a river. I'm buying this day one! Not only to play the DLC but have full blown Dualsense support, 4K, and 3D Audio.
@z2g
LOL you won't find my name in there! I'm all about that performance + RT mode!
Personally, I am ALL FOR Sony being strict curators of the PS Store and not allowing every jack leg with a dev kit to put their piece of crap game on there for sale. Not all indie developers are created equal and shouldn't all be treated equal. It's a meritocracy and if your game is extremely "mid" then you don't deserve the same treatment as an indie who actually makes something worth playing. The last thing I want is for the PS Store to become the friggin' Google...
Oh god. The hero worship continues.
@Neonridr
I enjoyed LM3 well enough but my issue with it is I don't feel like Nintendo is pushing that IP forward enough (they are guilty of this for several of their IP's). There's no reason in 2021 why we are still playing a game like that on a fixed camera, 2D plane. Why is this not a fully realized, fully explorable 3D game by now? Luigi's Mansion in 2021 should absolutely play similarly to something like Resident Evil Village or The Last of Us. Not ...
